These garden hose connectors are such time savers! I put them on every hose nozzle, faucet, and hose real I own. They are even on kids toys like the slip-n-slide. The make switching out nozzles a snap, easy as hooking up an air hose. The hose connectors make winterizing my hoses a snap, no pliers to tighten or loosen hoses. I made an adaptor for my air compressor, simply connect it on to my hoses and blow them out before I put them away for the year! I would be lost with out them! GREAT PRODUCT! Saves time! Lifetime warrant too!

With the quick connect it makes setup and break down so easy that I don't hesitate to bring the pressure washer out for any little task. This weekend I used it just to clean the tile on my pool.

I have invested in about 10 of these couplers and now find that I cannot replace the rubber seals. They are not avalable. it is expensuive to pay $10.00 for them and not be able to use them for lack of few cents of rubber. they should be a long term investment.

This quick disconnect does not have the "auto shut-off". There are quick disconnects that sears makes that have the "auto-shut-off" valve but this item is not one of them. "Auto shut-off" has a valve built into it that does not need to be opened or closed. Disconnecting it turns the water off "automatically". Reconnecting turns the water back on "automatically".

Like the other reviewer indicated, this item comes in metal. Very affordable compared the the plastic ones they sell at our local hardware store.
