Get the Job Done Fast with the Max Axess Auto Ratchet
The CM C3 Max Axess auto ratchet is powered by Craftsman's top-selling platform, the long-life C3 19.2V battery. That means you're not tied to air hoses or cords. You loosen and tighten quickly and easily, anywhere. You also carry fewer tools, because the pass-through design eliminates the need for deep sockets, and easily tightens long rods, too. The auto ratchet comes with the three socket sizes you use most and an adapter that drives every 3/8-inch drive standard socket.
With the Max Axess auto ratchet you loosen or tighten at up to 225 rpms, with a variable speed control, and switch to manual for a finger-tight finish. In low light situations, use the included LED illumination, and in cramped spaces take advantage or the small head designed to get in anywhere. Get the job done with this efficient portable tool that puts the power in your hands.

For the purpose for which this tool is intended, it is an excellent addition. While certainly not as powerful as an air tool, the auto ratchet is very handy for working on cars, and other around the house uses. I found the 3/8" socket adapter very useful. For tight fasteners, the auto ratchet can be turned like a normal ratchet. Once a tight fastener is loosened a bit, the tool will quickly and easily remove the nut or bolt. I was pleasantly surprised at the torque generated by this tool. I've used the tool with both the lithium ion battery that came with the tool as well as the nicad batteries I already have for my other C3 Craftsman cordless tools. Works great with either type of battery. I would highly recommend this tool.

The ratchet works great if you're using the max axxes sockets. Just like what other people are saying about the 3/8" adapter, it pops out if you put too much pressure. Looking at the adapter I found out that the flange should be on the same side as the 3/8" pin. Just like the max axxes sockets. Hopefully they'll make a revised adapter. Power is good for what it's intended for.
Bought this because i got the socket kit for Christmas. I'm not a professional mechanic but for me it is great. I don't have to wait for my air compressor to fill or anything i can just grab it and go. Its a little bulky so fitting in tight areas isn't what its made for.
Been looking for a way to spin max axxess sockets with a power tool. As other reviewers have noted, the square drive adapter loads in the wrong way, from the back, and will pop out with the slightest push against the fastener. Extremely annoying, especially since the sockets tend to stay in too well, and can be a pain to remove. Lithium battery, but not the one with the charge level indicator. 3 sockets included now have no home, just useless, because you need a full kit of max axxess sockets to do any good. Probably better off just welding a square drive socket into one of the axxess extensions, then you could turn with a drill or impact driver. Overall, too much money for this.
My wife purchased this for me since I do work on my car and install wall racks for TV's. It works just fine on the racks since not much torque is required. However, on the car it's not as effective as I would have hoped. Doesn't seem to have much power even on a full battery. Stubborn nuts and bolts have to be manually started before the tool can do the rest of the work. Definitely not as effective as a air tool. Light duty only.
I Bought this ratchet on black Friday. I did not buy the kit I just bought the tool and use a battery I already have. I also have the max axess socket set. This is the best battery powered ratchet money can buy. If you have the socket set it works really well. With the adapter for regular sockets not so much but for what i need it is awesome.
I was about to buy one of these ratchets from the Snap-On man for $360.00 Saw this one online and for the price thought I`d give it a try. The only problem I have with it is, inserting and removing the 1/4 & 3/8 adapters. I have to move the retaining ring around to a flute to get the adapter to go in and lock. I`m having a problem getting it out. (have to tap it out with a hammer handle. Other than that it works great and the battery lasts a long time.

Great buy for a mechanic (or any fix it!) who is too far from his compressor! This is light weight and can easily be brought up into the attic or out to the driveway. Glad I bought it!
