I have been using this tool for drilling into the concrete floor to set 1/2" x 4" wedge bolts. Worked great so far. Easy to control while drilling and the built in levels are a plus.

I was drilling several deep holes into a tree with long spade bit. I was using trigger stopper (the red round plastic next to the trigger) to continuously drill without my finger on the trigger. For a while I enjoyed using this stopper. However to my surprise, at some point when I released the trigger, it didn't stop! It continued until I frantically unplugged it. The stopper would pop up but the drill kept going. Once this happened, I could no longer stop the drill with the trigger. When I plug it in it just starts. When I unplug it stops. The only way to keep the drill stopped while plugged in was to set the turn direction to neutral. It was too dangerous to use it in this state and it has been more than two years since I bought it (I rarely used it, as I have a lighter model). The drill went into the garbage bin.

Then the front plastic smoked and melted (the piece that holds the side handle). Took it back - was told to get the professional version - which I did - much better quality but also a lot more in price.

This drill replaced an older vrsion of the same specs that was 15 years old. This drill is much improved and both in design and power. Good value for the bucks

I bought this to drill some holes in my concrete foundation to mount some braces for some pipes. The drill performed very well. It is heavy but is well balanced. This drill has features not found in even more expensive brands. I highly recommend this tool.

i bought this drill and used it to drill about 10 holes and all was fine. Fast forward to the next use and after about 30 5/16 holes, the gear in the inside broke. I don't use a hammer drill that often so by the time it had broken, the warranty had expired. I took it back to the store to no avail. I ordered the replacement part and installed it and I was back in business. The next time I used it, all went well. After about 6 months, i had to use it again and after about 40 holes, the gear broke again just like before and now it sits in my closet after only using it 4 times and noone will help me because i have had this drill for about 2 years although it still looks new (and it should after only 4 uses). I have always used craftsman tools but this is A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
