Accurate tool
I have found these old beam type wrenches to actually be more accurate than the newer styles. Great tool for the price. Craftsman needs to release on that measures inch pounds.

Not impressed with quality. Chinese made.
Bought this and the 3/8" model 47713. Both are Chinese made now. Beams on each one were off 5-10 pounds off zero. No white hash mark either on the pointer end, just a raised line that is hard to see. Not impressed and will be taken back for refund.

2 drawbacks

Drawback 1: It's only accurate to +/- 4%. Drawback 2: The maximum torque is only 150 ft lbs. For professional mechanics, a higher accuracy will be required and a higher maximum torque (250 ft lbs) will often be needed for 1/2-inch Drive Torque Wrench.

classic tool

Quality classic tool. No bells and whistles. Just a good quality torque wrench. When you only need a torque wrench once in a while , I suggest this simple tool.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Inexpensive but really useful

This is a great alternative to other more expensive torque wrenches. It still does the job of giving you a reading and it is great for parts of the car that require high torque.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for the price

This is a great tool for the price that sears has it for. Life time warranty to top it off. I would buy this again and would also recommend it to a friend. Great value and great product.

Torque wrench

The craftsman 1/2 inch drive beam style torque wrench is great for jobs from 0-150 foot pounds. It's a fairly good size tool so not great for small spaces.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good quality.

I bought this when it was on sale in sears and I have no complaints. I keep it in the package it came in to protect it and it is still straight after more than a year. I have never tested it to see how accurate it is but I would imagine it is pretty accurate.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for tires.

This is one of the few torque wrenches that still offered a life time warranty. I bought this one because I rarely needed one - only for tires. So I opted for this one. It works great. I highly recommend it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for the DIYer

I use it all the time on our cars and push mower. Great for any work around the garage. I've had mine for 2 years and no issues. I'm buying one for my Dad this Christmas to make his work around the garage easier. Great product, easy to read (both Newtons and ft-lbs), and easy to re-zero if the bar is slightly off (as noted by another reviewer).

I would recommend this product to a friend.
