I bought this on sale and wasn't sure that I needed it; I was wrong! I actually used it as a breaker bar and it worked beautifully! I has some Shop Your Way points that were about to expire, so I purchased it. Very glad I did. I wouold recomment this product.

This tool is great for adding that extra leverage on tough nuts / bolts. The flex head is sturdy and very useful. I've used it to remove lug nuts, strut bolts and serpentine belt tensioners. I rarely use my regular 1/2" ratchet on automotive applications.

Used one time and pin fell out of flex head. Was not abusing the tool, normal use. Not impressed with this tool. I thought it was how others were using the tool in reviews, but realize now that isn't the case. Save your money and time, don't buy this.

Works great for tight places

Found out mine was made in china. Most are now. Anyway, if you put heavy torque on it you will slip cause the flex head will move. There should be a lock on the head. Why there isn't I will never know which makes this a tool to use in tight places. Why would one use a 1/2 ratchet in a tight place? Don't really have an answer. You probably won't use this much then because as a breaker the plastic pin will break or it will slip. So.....What's the use of this tool?

The headline speaks for itself. I'm an AG mechanic and I work with carp tunnel and two torn rotator cuffs and not to mention arthritis. I've used these type over 15 years ago before and never had a problem. Now I puchased a set for my service truck in Dec. 2012 and just two day's ago purchased a set for my shop tool box. Heres just a few pieces of equipment in our fleet. Fleet of (47) Harlo 5000 Tier3 Fork lifts, (9)Kubota M9000 Mudders, (9)KW-T800's, Fleet of (20)Ford Super Duty Trucks all sizes F250-F650. All the other mechanic's have the same tool and never had a problem. We all own large sets of Craftsman product and when it fails Sears always comes through with the guarantee and replaces our tools. Same as our SNAP-On Man for all of our specialty tools.

Bought this ratchet because the standard length 1/2" ratchets never give enough leverage. On the very first use the pin fell out and I nearly hurt myself! I put the pin back in (held in with duct tape) and used it only a couple more times and noticed the ratchet mechanism was very loose and clunky, and kept getting stuck in neutral. Finally returned it to the store. Made in China JUNK!
Sears/Craftsman, please, please, PLEASE return to the quality of the past. I own many Craftsman tools and most are great, but those are made in the USA.
