Craftsman 1/2 inch composite impact Wrench - Great Buy!
I've had this for about 5 years now. At the time, I was looking for a good, reasonably affordable impact wrench and saw this at Sears. I bought it to take off some 36 mm axle spindle nuts of a Honda Accord. They came right off! The compressor I used was a Sears 25 gallon Craftsman Professional with a 3/8" - 50 ft. black rubber hose. I was going through the manuals and instructions for my tools and found the one for this impact wrench and it stated if the hose was going to be longer than 8 feet, then to go with a 1/2" hose. This would be something to keep in mind when purchasing this to compensate for pressure loss from long hoses. I had been using this wrench just fine for years. Great impact and affordable. It is also lightweight in comparison to a lot of other 1/2" impact wrenches. If you want to go with more torque, then I would get the IR 2135TIMax. It has 200 ft. lbs more torque than this one. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with this Craftsman 1/2" composite impact wrench.

Perfect for a garage

I needed an impact wrench to do some much needed front end work on my truck. I was worried about buying something with not enough torque to work my lugs and other stubborn connections. This wrench handled the entire job with ease. Removing tires, changing out tie rod ends, ball joints, idler arm, pitman arm, and steering box. I got a ton of use out of this wrench in one weekend and I was never let down by it once. I paired it up to a 30 gallon 4.5cfm air compressor. The finish did get several blemishes throughout this one job, but I don't mind tools that look used, as long as they perform.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Outstanding!

I wasn't sure about this one to be honest. I bought it expecting to return it for the Ingersol Street Legal Thunder Gun, but I was wrong! This gun has more than enough torque for anything I can throw it's way. I had a nut run down at about 500 ft. lbs. and this gun had more than enough NBT to handle the job. Came off with the first squeeze of the trigger. I'm a Craftsman collector for life!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good Impact

Bought this for occasional home use and this heavy duty impact gets the job done for that. The wrench was actually a bit smaller than I had predicted and is fairly compact. I would recommend this product.

Not a dependable product

Such a sad story, it could be such a nice tool. The first one I was able to use once, then the trigger went out. They replaced it no questions asked, but the second one only lasted a month under light use and the trigger went out again. I have the extended warranty, but such a hassle to keep going back to the store. I would not recommend this to anyone
