Craftsman 1/2 inch composite impact Wrench - Great Buy!
I've had this for about 5 years now. At the time, I was looking for a good, reasonably affordable impact wrench and saw this at Sears. I bought it to take off some 36 mm axle spindle nuts of a Honda Accord. They came right off! The compressor I used was a Sears 25 gallon Craftsman Professional with a 3/8" - 50 ft. black rubber hose. I was going through the manuals and instructions for my tools and found the one for this impact wrench and it stated if the hose was going to be longer than 8 feet, then to go with a 1/2" hose. This would be something to keep in mind when purchasing this to compensate for pressure loss from long hoses. I had been using this wrench just fine for years. Great impact and affordable. It is also lightweight in comparison to a lot of other 1/2" impact wrenches. If you want to go with more torque, then I would get the IR 2135TIMax. It has 200 ft. lbs more torque than this one. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with this Craftsman 1/2" composite impact wrench.

      1/2 in. Impact Wrench

I purchased the entry level model first because of the price. At $24.99 I didn't think I could go wrong. After returning the second one because they failed to work I decided to upgrade to this Heavy Duty Twin Piston model because I needed one that worked. How refreshing it was to get home, read the directions, install the air hose fitting and it worked like a champ. This is what I was expecting the first two times with the cheaper model. Sometimes I guess you just get what you pay for. Anyone that needs a 1/2 in. Impact wrench should consider this model because it's a good price compared to others and it works great.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      OK for the money

This was for my son-in-law. He was able to use it for about 6-9 months before it gave out on him. Needless to say, both him and myself were disappointed that it didn't last longer.

      Excellent tool

Almost all my tools are Craftman. Say my best tools are!!!!. I have one of this impact wrench and I love it. It is always for doing what I have to. Really is one of my best and useful tools I had ever had. Thanks Sears for selling Craftman at very affordable prices.

      P.O.S. Stay Away

Bought this tool and had it for about 14 months primarily to rotate tires and only used it about 10 times. Went to use it and noticed the trigger felt dead. Hooked up the air hose and it wouldn't spin. Took it back to Sears and they said it was out of warranty. Went online to order a broken part in the trigger for about 3 dollars so i bought two. I will not buy their power tools any longer, only hand tools.

Seems to have a Design Flaw in the Trigger

I have had two of these wrenches. The trigger stopped working on both. The first one broke before I finished rotating the tires on my car. That one was exchanged under warranty. The replacement had the same trigger problem just over a year later after a couple light jobs. Unfortunately, this occurred 3 days after the warranty expired. It is a nice wrench with good torque, but it is not durable.

1/2 inch drive heavy duty impact wrench

I felt guilty the other day, my Dad meet me at an outlet store-where there was this impact gun. The price was right, and in my price range, being on sale! So I purchased it, but not at my local sears store! I got it at a huge savings! My dad, said this is what you will need in your automotive servicing, since most of what I do, will be with the 1/2 inch and the 3/8. This is not only an impressive impact gun, But, it feels just right in your hands, when you are turning lugs and general bolts on an engine, for removing those hard to remove bolts! Plus, using it just right, you can screw in a head bolt down, and then hand torque it the rest of the way! Great piece of equipment SEARS!

Failed just after warranty was up....

Worked great for a little over a year and "conveniently" failed to work properly just 1 month after the warranty was up.... wouldn't stop spinning, almost like the trigger was jammed. Needless to say, I won't be replacing it with another crapsman impact wrench

      glad i bought it

its definitely heavy duty and only time will tell how durable and sturdy it is on testing the longevity of the craftsmen ship. I'm sure it will last.

      Craftsman Impact Wrench

We got this to use so we can do some body work to our vehicles; not having to break out back trying to loosen up tight bolts. It works great and has plenty of power. We will sure use this for years to come!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
