I bought this conversion because I needed a quality socket converter from 1/2 to 3/8/ My 1/2 inch torque wrench is in foot pounds and I am working on the transfer case, and need to tightent he hex nut back to 18-ft lbs, and this converter helped alot! Another great product by Sears!

This is a basic accessory anyone would want if you own both 1/2" and 3/8" drive sockets. Even if you only have 3/8" sockets, this would be a useful tool allowing you to use larger, higher torquing ratchets and breaker bars. The chrome seems fine and fit is exactly what you would expect.
I actually bought the wrong adapter (that's what happens when you're in a hurry). I grabbed this one from open stock, so I lucked out and got one made in the USA. Performs as intended.
