I first started out with the 9'' Band Saw but it developed a problem after the first use. So when I took that one back I looked closer at this one and decided to upgrade. WOW, what a difference! It can be a little tricky to get adjusted but once you get it dialed in it cuts like a champ. I much prefer the roller-guides over what the 9" has, the blade control on this thing is far superior it as a result. My wife likes to do Tole painting and with this thing I can pretty much easily cut anything I want with it. It's darn near perfect for that. With the rip fence and miter gauge and tiltable table I should be able to do a large variety of other cuts with it too provided it will fit into the throat.
I Bought this saw to replace an old tabletop saw that broke. My old saw was pretty much useless and turned me off to bandsaw's all together, I was very hesitant about buying this saw but relied on the reviews of other owners. After setting this saw up and a few minor adjustments I have used this saw more in 1 month than I did my old saw in years. Quality is very good for a small saw and adjustments are not to bad. Instructions are not too good but most import tools are the same. I recommend watching Alex Snodgrass You-Tube and set it up as he recommends.
I recently purchased this 10 inch model after owning an entry level 9 inch unit for years. This saw has several key features. The first is the cast iron table, good for magnetic jigs. The fence and fence guide are very good. I also like the roller bearing guides. Important things are "adjustable" (table perpendicular to blade, table/blade alignment). The only issue I noted was the "play" in the vertical aluminum "rail" when locking the bearing assembly height. I added an aluminum shim to the upper portion, and the "play" is now unnoticeable. Nothing poorly made. Excellent quality. A great saw.
I wasn't sure about buying this saw, by reading some of the reviews, but when a competitors saw broke on the first day, and I had a hassle returning it, I decided to try the Craftsman based on their record. Out of the box, I had to do some adjustment - expected -, not over whelming though. Once set up, this saw is great! I works slow on thick stock, but then again, it wasn't designed for really heavy work. I would recommend this to anyone. Two improvements that I would like to see: 1. A viewing glass to check blade tracking, attached flexible light.
I have owned this saw for a few years. I use it primarily for re-sawing 4 inch wide boards to make thin stock for Christmas ornaments. I have used it to rough cut items such as Adirondack chair blanks and other odd shaped items. For the low price I have no complaints. The re-saw capacity is very limited due to motor size and saw size, but it will work fine for softer woods. I have re-sawn some dense exotics with mixed results. For my use, when space was extremely limited, the saw has been outstanding. If I were not trying to re-saw, I would see no reason to upgrade to a bigger saw. I briefly had a 9 inch band-saw made by another company that was absolutely useless. As long as expectations are reasonable, this saw will perform admirably.

I just picked it up for the store. I spent quite some time adjusting all 6 bearings. After that I was able to cut freehand a thin veneer 2" wide from a soft pine. I was impressed. Also it is very quite.
Poor/damaged packaging, missing parts (that I could fill with my own junk can), major alignment/tweaaking required, but once done seems to function quite well. A good buy but don't have it delivered.
