Blame the Shipping Company

Purchased online. Rcvd in bubble-wrap envelope. Cut envelope open with scissors and found a bent and broken metal shaft with a perfectly in tact handle. The package presumably got wedged between some other packages, bending the metal shaft to breaking right at the taper. Note that the plastic handle survived where the metal failed. As another reviewer said, these are not designed for prying. You want to open plastic clips? Use a finishing nail.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

I purchased this jewelers screw driver thinking Craftsman would be the best available. Big mistake. The plastic handle broke in half the first time I used it. I took it back and asked for a refund. My old screw driver was made by a competitor and I had it 10 years with no problems untill I lost it. I also had problems with a Craftsman car jack and took it back also. Craftsman products are not as good as they use to be.

Works Fine as a Jewelers Screwdriver

This very small size jewelers screwdriver is excellent when used for its intended purpose. It was not made to be a mini pry bar! It is well made and bears the USA stamp on the handle.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

1/32 x 1 screwdriver #41636 - broke in half on first use

I was going to use this to release the flimsy plastic lock on a wiring harness connector but the screwdriver snapped like a crayon when I picked it up.  I guess it couldn't take the intense 80-degree heat here...

I was still able to complete the job using the stub left over, but it was more difficult.

The problem with the design of this tool is that the metal shaft barely goes half an inch into the plastic handle.  When I grabbed the screwdriver between my fingers it snapped in half right above the end of the metal shaft.  The plastic is also very cheap and brittle.

Thank goodness for Craftsman's full guarantee.  Otherwise I wouldn't advise anyone to even spend 29 cents on this thing.
