Great for tight places & durable

The Craftsman 1/4" air ratchet has both, the power & the mobility to do the job that would normally require a hand ratchet or end wrench. Makes tighening or looseing those smaller bolts a snap. No knuckle busting when you cannot get a full turn on a standard ratchet or wrench. I use my Craftsman 1/4" air ratchet regularly in my shop working on small engines, lawn tractors, tillers, pushmowers, go karts, sand buggies, four wheelers & many more other small projects & makes the job a lot easier on those smaller bolts or fasteners. The one drawback, I have seen is, sometimes more torque is needed when loosing those hard break fasteners,  but I have not run into this problem very frequently, but have had a couple of issues here and there. I use the air Craftsman 1/4" air ratchet with a inline oiler ,which ensures that the air ratchet will last you a very long time.

Don't exceed recommended inlet air pressure (psi) and maintain a dry air source to ensure trouble free operation. If you have to, use an inline air regulator to control your air flow for the tool. After tool use, cap the air inlet to keep dirt & debris from entering & damaging your ratchet. Follow the basic recommendations of the user's manual.

I would definantly recommend those air ratchet to my friends or those that would have a need to work with smaller bolts and fasteners in confined spaces, where a standard ratchet would not work.

Maybe okay for home use....
I bought this tool to use professionally, and it is definitely not professional grade. The power is pretty nice for a 1/4" ratchet, but that's about it. The rotating exhaust is very annoying. It always makes my gloves squeal loudly. Exhaust should point toward the hose; not outward. The packing blew out within the first few weeks and is very loud. The detent ball for retaining a socket/extension is horrible. If I had a nickle for every time I had fish a socket out of the deep abyss of an engine, Sears would be paying ME to use this thing now. You get what you pay for.

Why did I wait so long to buy one??

I really didn't think I needed one but one of the techs where I work said he didn't know why I didn't have one. I've used it a couple of times and can't believe how handy it is. Light and small, can get into the hard to reach places. I just used it on a transmission pan last weekend. Made the job go much quicker. I brought it into work because one of the reviewers gave it a bad review because he said it was made of plastic...guess what so was the MAC Tools brand air ratchet my ASE Master Tech had in his box. His exact words after using it, "Nothing wrong with that, I'd buy one."

Great little ratchet!

I have owned this little ratchet for about seven years, and it has been great! It's about a fraction of the cost of a Snap On/MAC/Matco, and works just as good if not better. If it's stood up to a farm shop environment this long, you know it has to be good.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works awesome!

Bought this to remove the "bolts" from a F150 blower motor as getting even a small 1/4 in. wrench and actually moving it is next to impossible. So, bought this and got the old one out and the new one in within ten minutes. Now, I'm using to repair a broken/busted piston connecting rod and engine reassembly for a pressure washer. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone that's tired of twisting wrenches. I'm in the market, now, for the 3/8 in.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman is good brand .Bought this item was onsale from Sears.com and pick it up at the store ( good price) I used this ratchet with my 3 gallons air tank & 1/4 hose size , removed trans pan bolts (very fast) easy. No problem. Working very good for small bolts , nuts under 10MM ( loosing or tighten) Good grip. That's all I can say .

Neat little ratchet to assemble stuff

I like this tool because it can handle the little stuff. It also has a swivel exhaust to move the air in different directions.

It has a rubber ergonomic handle that makes holding it comfortable. Of course the handle tends to slip, which makes it difficult to line up with the trigger, if oil gets between the handle and the tool, it may slide around and make it harder to operate the ratchet.

Overall, a nice tool 4 wrenches because of the slippery handle. But a nice powerful tool for the money. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a 1/4" air ratchet.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

best 1/4" ratchet on the market for the money

this fits in most places has plenty of power and is much tougher than most you find on the market. It's a very good 1/4" ratchet

waste of time and money

single handedly the worst cratsman product i have ever purchased! i work in an auto center and purchased this tool thinking it would make my job easier, in turn it only brought me problem after problem. the first mini ratchet i purchased was defective prior to it's first use. as soon as i attatched it to an air line the thing went wild and wouldn't stop turning. i returned it thinking MAYBE it was just a fluke. the next ratchet lasted less than 3 uses and locked up. after a few minutes with a wrench i was able to free it up but it continued to lock up frequently. i finally returned it again and got a 3rd. i used it less than a dozen times and the paws broke. 3 air ratchets in 2 weeks. i only used them tighten/loosen battery terminals and tray hold-downs, it's not like i was using it for something it wasn't made for.

Craftsman 1/4" mini air ratchet wrench

I like it! I bought this and the 3/8" drive. you can read that report too. These are my first set of air wrenches and love them. I oiled properly before use. I have used these every weekend for a month. No issues thus far. These are not industrial tools. I call them working mans tools but they did fine. If you need more torque, power than this isn't the tool for you. If you do basic mechanic work I highly recommend them. I looked at tools at a discount tool store and they had "LOSER" all over them. If I am going to buy bottom of the rung tool, let it be Sears and don't expect more than what could/should be expected to do. Performance wise these did exactly what I wanted it to do.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
