purchased this for my small compressor, the fill hole is very small and I had trouble getting oil into the body of the oiler. l spilled all over the outside of body.

There is no way to add oil through the tiny service port. Poor design.

I unpacked this oiler. Installed it on my impact wrench. Spent five minutes filling it with oil. What a joke that was. Then when I hooked up my air hose, I watched as my new oiler blew oil all over the ground. No crack. It was leaking at the air inlet side where the brass meets the plastic. Design flaw?

This oiler is similar in construction to almost any other in-line oiler you will find, it is the nature of the way they are made. I found that when I was finished using the tool for the night, if I disconnect the tool/oiler from the air supply and loosen the fill screw to let out the pressure, this will keep it from emptying itself into the hose/air tool it is connected to. Like other reviewers noted, it can be difficult to fill, you will need a bottle with a small diameter protruding spout to put inside the fill hole (like the small Craftsman air tool oil bottle). I use it with an air rachet and it works fine for me. Not too much oil, not too little.

Pros - Easily mounted to each tool or in a line - Only one needs to be bought if installed on a short line connecting the main line to the tool. Cons - Plastic so it is breakable by accidental dropping or over tightening - Can be messy when filling with oil as air bubbles may form preventing the oil from entering the chamber.

I ought this oiler for use on my 26 gallon 160 psi Craftsman air comp. The oiler has been leaking since the day I bought it. I'm close to pulling it off an manually oiling my tools.

Overall, the Craftsman oiler is convenient and works well to deliver a unspecified amount of oil into your tool. You don't really know how much is enough or not enough, but we can assume this oiler does it right. It's design is the same as other oilers available at some of the "big box" stores. However, the oiler that I purchased had a dry rotted o-ring underneath the filler screw. It quickly crumbled as I loosened it. I do plan on returning/exchanging my oiler for another. I see this as a minor issue, but I did subtract one star. Also, this oiler as well as others, suffers from a major design flaw. Don't reduce the pressure via the compressor's regulator while the oiler is installed. If you do, the vacuum created (or loss of high pressure) will pull all the oil into the air hose!!! This to me is ridiculous. Luckily I have my oiler in a separate, whip hose, and the oil did not contaminate the rest of my air hose!!! I know the conventional air tool user won't be messing with his/her air pressure like me if they are just spinning lug nuts off with an impact wrench, but I gotta reduce this product by another star!

I'm real satisfied with this tool, I don't have to worry about oiling my air tools before I use them!!!
