I purchased this Craftsman die-grinder #19951 on 11/26/09. With my Craftsman Club discount I paid $52.49, which I felt was a pretty good price.
I was impressed with the looks and feel of the tool but less impressed that it was made in China. I have many items that are made in China and some work well, others don't. I try to keep an open mind when purchasing these items and I did with this as well.
As soon as I got home, I put a few drops of air tool oil in the air inlet and connected my air supply. Imagine my surprise when it spun full throttle without the trigger being depressed! Luckily, I hadn't put a grinding disc in yet so my fingers remain intact.
I disconnected the air supply and gave the tool a couple of light taps on my wooden workbench hoping that whatever was stuck would dislodge. It didn't. Again, it started full throttle when connected to the air supply. This time a let it run by itself for a minute or two and it eventually stopped spinning by itself. Problem solved! Or so I thought.
Today, two days later I tried it again. Same issue. I will be bringing it back to Sears once the Black Friday crowds taper off.

This grinder has a great look to it and functions quite well, not sure on longevity but sure that it will suffice. I prefer Craftsman tools and glad that they offer this little sweet tool.

Looks Nice and will do the job, but to fat for smaller areas. Very Bulky. Also, because the case in rubber/plastic cleanup after a job the paint comes off. Good for home lite use. However, for a service technician a NOT.

I purchsed this tool at Ace and used it a few times in the next 4 months. A few little things came loose (collar nut, shaft retaining nut) which I attributed to break-in and tightened. When I needed the tool, it failed completely. The angle head spun off and som, ething inside broke, and the housing was cracked. Ace said I had to take it to Sears for warranty stuff; then Sears refused to honor the "free replacement" in the warranty, said I had to pay $35 to "send it out" for repair! After 3 hours on the phone, multiple emails to multiple people, and dealing with the incompetent and rude people at the local Sears, the Ace I bought it from gave me a refund long after their 30-day return period. This is the last Craftsman tool I'll ever buy.

I was looking to replace my 12 year old angle grinder and found this grinder, it has a great grip and has the power to sand down the rust and other material I need to remove during my rebuild process, I would recommend this grinder to everyone that is looking for a handy tool.

I purchased this unit to build a loader for my tractor, I put this little through hell and it just kept going. I did have a rotary failure but that was my neglect. I did return it and get a new one and promised myself i wouldnt bang this one on the counter to knock the bit back in. Just make sure you control the air pressure and dont go above 90psi as recommended and oil during use as you should with any air tool and I think you will like this unit. On a side note; I am the type of person that will take a tool and find its breaking points. Tools are made by Man, and anything made by man will break. Use it for what its for and dont ask it to do the impossible and you will be satisfied with this grinder.

All i can really say is Craftsman. I am currently seeking a AAS in Marine/Motorsports and i have over six thousand dollars worth of tools most of which are craftsman and they have all been SOLID and very good investments. Nothing but the best from Craftsman yet again
