Great ratchet in all respects! Very smooth over the entry level Craftsman ratchet. Fits hand great and quick release function is flawless.
Having wrenched on aircarft in past times, this is a quality piece to rival any "Tool Truck" brand and will suit any skill level well.
Mine was "Made in the USA" and let's hope future offering of this ratchet stay the same.
My teardrop 1/4 in. ratchet finally gave out, and I was given this piece of crap instead.
It was jammed right out of the package. It would not "ratchet", in either direction. I am very disapointed with Sears passing off Taiwan and China made tools as "Craftsman" brand.

We needed a ratchet, thin profile, to fit in a tight area. This one did the trick. Well made and feels good in the hands. Still had to modify a socket to make it work like we wanted but the thin profile ratchet allowed us to make it work

I was given one of these with a bunch of other tools, and this ratchet has become my favorite. I am a professional technician, and I have other brands of ratchets, but this one is the one I use the most. It is a fine tooth ratchet which make it easier to use in tight spaces. Buy one, you won't be sorry.

This ratchet is awesome. Feels good in your hand, and is very quick to hit the next tooth. I figure this ratchet will be passed on to other family members. It is very clean, easy to use and great. It is worth the upgrade from the regular ratchets for sure and I really think this should be the new entry level ratchet. It is so comfortable to use and the lower arc setting is great for tight spots where you can't move the ratchet too much. Put these on your gift list, s you will not be disappointed with this ratchet.

The handle is nice and feels good in your hand. the ratcheting is very smooth and easy to work with. The draw back of this little wonder is that it doesn't hang in there. It breaks easy, comes apart easy and if they could just streagthen up the lock ring and plate on the socket side that holds everything together it would be well worth having. I loved the little ratchet for how easy it was to ratchet, but was ver disappointed in the durablity of it.

Overall this is a good product. It is well balanced and feels good in you hand. The only drawback is a flimsy feeling direction change lever which is easily knocked out of position unlike the very positive feeling levers used on Craftsman ratchets in the past. The best reason to purchase this product is the lifetime replacement warranty. That way when the lever fails you can get another ratchet free, although it is very likely you will not get an exact replacement. I had to get this ratchet as a replacement for another Craftsman ratchet that came in a set because the one I owned was no longer available. The drawback to this is that this ratchet will not fit in the case that came with the set of Craftsman tools to which my broken ratchet belonged so I had to settle for a lesser product.

I work as a professional helicopter mechanic and I use this almost every day. I have gone through 4 of these just this year. I accidently dropped two of these ratchets from about 4 feet while working on an engine and all the guts flew out all over the hangar. Now all of these are made in Taiwan and feel even cheaper and stiffer than the previous ones. The next time this ratchet fails me, I'm calling the Matco truck.

I'm a professional auto tech, and I've owned all the major brands of tools. This is one sweet little ratchet due to being so fast, and so easy to handle. It's made just right. It also locks the sockets or extensions on so they aren't constantly falling off. It releases them easily with a push of the button on the back. The fine teeth help to turn the fastener very easily without spinning it backwards like so many ratchets tend to do, and works very well in extremely tight spaces. I can see no reason to spend more on a basic 1/4" drive ratchet. This is it!

I've never had any major problems with my old Craftsman tools. However, over the past few years I've developed significant stress issues in my hands. The thin profile ratchets cause much less fatigue and pain. They are worth the extra money.

The ratchet has much finer "clicks", much nicer to use.
