Good Buy.

Good performance when drilling in concrete. Used on very old concrete and it went straight in without chipping.

Craftsman 1/4 x 4 in. Masonry Bit

This Craftsman 1/4 x 4 in. Masonry Bit worked well for my project. I needed to drill some new holes into a cement porch for some supports connected to an awning. This bit did the trick with no problems.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
craftsman 1/4 inch masonry drill bit

These bits now come from a new supplier for craftsman and the quality has come down significantly. The older bit that I replaced with this one lasted for over 5 years while the new one only lasted 10 months with equivalent use. While the quality of the product is still acceptable, I have replaced it with a competitors brand due to the competitors greater quality. I would challenge craftsman to locate a new supplier from North America that can produce these bits with the same high quality steel that they were originally produced with. Their current chinese supplier seems to have a problem with either their raw materials or manufacturing process. Wherever the problem lies I am very sad to say that I can no longer justify purchasing this product when there is a better quality US produced alternative available for less than 5% cost increase. Below average rating is very rare for craftsman tools.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
