I purchased this two days after getting my 12 gal. Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac. The standard hose that came with the vac was a short 6' long approx. and was not very user friendly!! I was very leary about buying this hose kit due to the price I paid around 45 bucks. Like others have stated in there reviews "This should be the standard hose that comes with there vacuums" This hose is way longer and so much more user friendly than the short black one that came with my unit. Everything about this hose is better than the stock one I recieved. One of the main reasons I am so satisfied with this is due to the several extra attachments that came with this item. I used one of the extra black attachments and sealed it into a homemade router table fence I was making and needed a port to be able to hook my vac to. Some epoxy and I was done!! Thanks sears!!! you saved me some money in the long run by not needing to purchase a port on Rockler. GREAT UPGRADE TO ANY SHOPVAC!!!!!

On nice days in the spring and fall, I like to move some of my power tools out onto the driveway. My tools are all on roll-arounds so the move is pretty easy and it really cuts down on the mess in the shop. At the end of the day I clean off the driveway with my 5 HP 5 Gallon Craftsman Clean and Carry Vacuum system. I set the machine to the blower configuration and blow the sawdust out into the yard. There it breaks down into the soil. Green, huh? The only problem was that the 21' of hose that came with my machine wasn't quite long enough for the location I had my vacuum mounted in. Removing the vacuum from the wall mount would have been one solution, but with this additional 10' hose extension that wasn't necessary.

The hose is so cheap. Plastic and doesn't stay in the canister at all. You stretch a little to reach and the hose falls out. Stop put it back on and continue cleaning. Horrible, has to have a better fit.

The Craftsman 1-7/8 X 10 ft hose is a great replacement to the original hose, it is more flexible and much easier to work with. It comes with several different attachment ends that gives the user more options to use with smaller size hose attachments for different tools. The only draw back is that the ends may come unscrewed during use (may need to use some adhesive to stop that from happening).
