I bought this blade despite the negative reviews I read here knowing that my project wouldn't put too much stress on the blade. The blade was on sale and I used my military discount and SYWR points so I didn't put anything out of pocket for the blade which makes it even easier to choose. My project was some scroll work that was just a bit too big for the scroll saw and I took my time based on those previous reviews and have had no issues with the blade dulling or breakage. This is a thin blade and if your saw isn't set up right and you put too much lateral stress on the blade I can see it snapping quite easily so I took my time. I like the blade and for what I didn't pay for it, I cannot complain!

I have been through 4 of these band saw blades in one month. They last a few days to a week at most. To the posted below who can't find them anywhere else, check out Olson band saw blades. I haven't used them yet, but am ording a few today.

I have been using bandsaws for almost 30 years. I have always purchased my blades from Sears. I used to be able to use a blade for months before they would break. Now they seem to break within days. I have to raise the price of my products I make just to allow for the blade breakage! You know what else makes me mad, is this is the only place I can purchase 89 1/2" blades. I'm pretty much stuck buying them from you unless I purchase a new bandsaw from somewhere else. Amazing how you are the only ones that sell those!!!

Bought this from Sears as I had just ordered a few other items and decided to pick this blade up instead. As I stated in the title, this blade is pathetic. I have worked with bandsaws for nearly two decades and have had blades last months on end. This blade however, lasted three days before it snapped. Not only that, it snapped on the weld and when I attempted to return it, they stated that they could not cover it because a blade is an expendable item that is prone to wearing out over time. Last time I checke three days is not a considerable amount of time seeing as I only used it for less than an hour of actual cutting. Hopefully this review will get them to make good on their so called "warranty" but from the experience I've had with their customer service team, I do not plan on ordering any further items from Sears. Stick with a trusted name as far as bandsaw blades go.
