Product Description

Craftsman 1 in. Self-Feed Extended Spade Bit Has Threaded Tip for Digging Through

The 1 in. self-feed extended spade bit delivers fast and clean holes. The one-inch drill bit has a self-feeding threaded tip that pulls it three times faster than standard spade bits. It has an extended length of 16 inches that means you can go deep and get more extension than the standard variety, which is important for making large holes.

With the Craftsman 1 in. self-feed extended spade bit safely inserted into your power hand drill, you are ready to make clean holes in your wood. With a hex shank that has a diameter of 0.44 inches, this bit provides minimal splintering and delivers precision every time you drill with it. The hex design also helps to prevent slipping as you use it. The spade bit is perfect for soft and hard wood or plasterboard. The black oxide finish results in a longer life for this replacement bit.

LONG DRILL !!!

I found this on sale and bought it to put in an outside hydrant for a garden hose. The bit cut through the plastic siding, plywood and 2"x6" like a knife through butter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for Roughing In Electrical Wiring...

If you are anything like me, you are probably skeptical of the claims that this bit design will drill holes 3x faster than a standard spade bit.  After all, the Spade Bit has been around a long time without much in the way of design improvements.  Believe it, my friend!

I started out with the 8 piece set, but have since gone back to the store to buy the entire collection.  The teeth or threads milled into the leading point of this bit sink quicker into wood, don't tend to follow grain patterns as much and enable you to bore a straighter hole, quicker.  What else could a guy (of gal) ask for?

My first experience with the Self-Fed Spade Bit concept was through the stubby collection.  I have found numerous uses for them and when I saw these extended versions online, I had to have them.  At 16" in overall length, I will be able to reach through any workpiece I might ever encounter.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
