I bought this compressor for a specific use. I am a full time RV'er and wanted a small portable compressor that was capable of topping off my large RV tires. After a few months of use, this compressor has met all of my expectations. Not only can it top off my RV tires to the required 120PSI it also comfortably lives in one of my storage bays. Do not expect this compressor to air up large RV tires instantly it still takes a few minutes per tire to go from 100 PSI to 120PSI. However, it works much better than the on-board air compressor that came with my motorhome. That compressor would not push air above 100 PSI. I now feel more confident and safer knowing my tires are at the proper inflation pressure. Another benefit is that airing up my tires is no longer an onerous chore. Although I cannot vouch for its reliability, since I have only had it a few months, I do expect this compressor to last since it is not in constant use. Barring any reliability issues, I would recommend this product to any RV'er looking for a small powerful air compressor that does not take up a lot of room and is cost effective at less than one hundred dollars.

bought it to replenish car tires and sports balls. it's fine. the only thing is the hose is rather cheap. it's plastic or something, and when you open the air to the hose, the tire inflator attachment leaks air. it's a small tank, so don't expect to fill a complete tire with one tank full. you will have to restart it and refill the tank.

Was recently in the market for a compact compressor to use around the house. No air tools, just adding air to tires, cleaning with a blowgun, etc. and stumbled onto this 1.5 gallon unit. It's nicely built with good consumer grade components. All-metal with exception of exterior, which is quite rugged itself. Functions great, achieving 0-150psi cutoff in just over 40 seconds (timed that several times). Maintenance free with exception of draining moisture from the tank, which should be done after each use with ANY compressor. No air filter or oil to bother with for those not tech savvy. Only downfall is the noise level. It's rated @79db, but when compared to other devices I own/use with known general range decibel ratings, it's quite a bit louder that that to my ears. I bought this to use in an apartment setting and it's just not possible. Boxed it back up and returned it with my simple/honest reason of it being a perfect compact compressor, just too loud for my surroundings.

I used this for monthly car tire pressure adjusting. Then as others have said it only pumps to 50psi and runs constantly. OK its off warranty (3 years old) so I took it apart. The valve assembly rusted and one of the reeds broke off. But sears has a good parts department, but NOT in this case, NO parts for this compressor. So beware it will not last and is a throw away.

was a bit hesitant to purchase this item given some of the poor reviews. could not be happier with the purchase, for small jobs in a closed enviroment there is not a better product. Compressor has had 3-4 hours of use each day for the last 3 weeks and has performed beyond expectations. Highly Recommend!

Probably the handiest thing I ever bought. Got this one for $70.00 with all the discounts. Use it all the time. Nicer than the "pancake" type, easier to haul and takes up less space. Works great. Bought one for my two son-in-laws. They love it.

Works great for tires, blowing out water lines in rv, and all I have used it for. 8pc accessory kit is junk. Went to hardware store for snap on's for quick change. This replaces craftsman compressor I've had since 1978.

Gone through two of these. First one broke after 9 months. K-mart gave me even exchange. The replacement lasted just over 2 years and now it has died. Problem is bad seals in the pump. Only used these to power trim nail guns so unit did not get a lot of use, Think an item with the Craftsman name would last longer. Will never buy an air compressor from Sears again.
