These Craftsman 10 in. locking pliers work really good for me. I love the non slip soft cushion grip on the handles. These pliers are also backed by Craftsman forever warranty which gives you peace of mind. I like the easy open release mechanism it has also. This is a great item to have in your tool box.
I bought these on sears.com and had them sent to my local store. When I went to pick them up at the store, these were not Craftsman Professional or Made in USA like they show in the picture. You may want to make sure this is what you want before buying them. I was very disappointed. I may never buy another sears product because of this. I try to buy American when I can. I thought I was buying American based on the website, but was sadly mistaken.

I have received this as a gift from my dad, and I love it. I hand grip is the best griping for keeping your hands from sliping off it. This is the best kind of pliers I have ever had. I wopuld recommend this king of pliers to anyone.

Excellent tool. My first job with it was using it to hold the top stud of my front shocks on my truck. It's like having an extra hand.

These are replacements and work great. The easy grip handles make it easier to grip and comfortable to use.

Pretty much a Craftsman version of the old standby pliers known by a very common name that includes the word 'vice'. So, why buy these instead of the more common named tool? Simple, access and price! Have you ever priced the name brand pliers? They're a touch high and forget about a quick return if they break! These pliers lock up well and don't hurt me when I release the locking mechanism, something the other guys can't always claim! I like the soft grip handles and the easy adjustments. Craftsman quality and price over expensive and hard to replace every day of the week!

I bought one of the last ones on the shelf that said Made in the USA. The rest were all made in China I've used them on grabbing a hold of a broken bolt and turning a tap. They flexed a bit trying to turn the tap, but they're really not meant to do that. It didn't slip, just flexed a bit. The grips moved around as well. All in all, this is a good tool. Obvious things I could wish for would be fixed grips and production back in the USA.

At work I punch a lot of long bolts out of wood and use vice grips to hold the punches so I dont hit my hand. These Craftsman vice grips constantly are loosening their grip as I hit the punch. I can squeeze them as hard as I can on the punch and 5-10 hits later I need to adjust them tighter again. I used to be a diehard craftsman guy, but after using these vice grips I may never set foot in a Sears store again. They are that frustrating. I should have known better because CHINA is stamped right on them.

I received the 10” Locking Pliers as a part of the 3 piece Craftsman Locking Pliers Set for Christmas. As soon as I opened them, I wondered why I had never purchased these years ago. The soft grip handles are excellent as they cushion my hands reducing fatigue as I apply force to lock them closed on a bolt or nut. This is important as my hands are ate up with nerve damage and ever little bit helps. The cushioning also helps as I apply force to turn the pliers which do not slip a bit once locked in place. Another great feature is the quick release of the pliers with a simple push of the handle. I highly recommend that you purchase the 6 piece set if possible as buying them piece by piece is much more expensive and believe me, you will want the rest of the set once you try these just once.

After years of use and abuse, my old vice-grips finally gave out. This gave me an excellent opportunity to research what was available and see, first hand, what improvements have been made in this tool. It should come as no surprize that Craftsman's Professional offering was the best I could find in this catagory. You'll enjoyed the padded handle and one-hand operation. The adjustment screw on this pliers is smoother gliding that any other product I found on the market. I highly recommend these pliers. There is a complete line of size and jaw types to fill any need. Try a set out today and you'll want to own them all!
