Needed a couple larger size simple wrenches. Bought the 8" and 10" Craftsman pliers. These pliers seem to have a better grip, grasp and comfort than many other pliers. Design is such that curvature of handles extracts best grip and strength in jaws of tool.

I have been looking to replace this item for a long time finally able to do just that. I am a previous owner of a pliers just like these and somehow lost them years ago. I am finally able to replace them they were my favorite. Great produst

I own just about every pliers in the Craftsman catalog and I also own many pliers from many different companies. These are my all-around favorite pliers. These are the ones that I keep in the car for emergency use. The jaws have deep set teeth and they bite well. The long leverage handles are a big benefit when wrestling with tight fasteners. This is a great tool that feels very good in my hand.

Lifetime Warranty is why I buy craftsman. The extra deals offered on sears online is why I rarely go to buy in store. Unless you're going to be working in a tight spot I would seriously recommend buying these slip joint pliers as opposed to the 6 or 8 inch version. The 10 inch version can get a hold of any nut that the smaller 6 or 8 can and then can handle most anything they can't. Plus the added leverage from the longer handles give much more power as well as control. I would say about the only thing better than buying these by themselves would be to buy the 3 piece set that includes the 6 and 8 too mainly because you are going to save yourself a bit of $.
