Good old style satin finish raised panel USA made wrench set. I'll take this set over the China junk they sell in the stores any day.

Purchased 3 weeks ago online. Still made in USA unlike the ones you find at the stores. Good Quality. Not polished.

Your toolbox is probably full of many different type of wrenches so you are thinking "why would I need a flared nut wrench? Well, if you are dealing with fuel or hydraulic lines you need a flare nut wrench. Sure, you can manage to loosen and tighten those fittings with an open end wrench but the risk of slipping off the fitting is greater. These wrenches will not be used as often as a regular open end but you will be thankful you have them when you easily loosen and tighten flared fittings. The Craftsman wrenches are comparable to any off of the tool trucks in quality but at a better price. Never a problem, wrenches always fit perfectly. I used mine on hydraulic fittings on aircraft so they got more of a workout than most sets of these wrenches. I would expect that the line mechanic today will have both SAE and metric sets with the number of Airbus, Embraer, and CASA aircrft flying in the domestic fleet currently. I always look for the largest Craftsman sets offered. That way I get the best price and, quite often, a bonus item of some sorts. I may not need all of the sizes offered when I buy the set but I know that buying that one individual wrench I never thought I would need individually will cost almost as much as the whole set. I got lucky when 3 of these sets became available on 12/29, so I had to get one. By the end of the day the other 2 were sold out. This set was a clearance item, so it will probably be discontinued soon. This is a beautiful set of wrenches. The chrome finish is perfect, and there are no sharp or rough edges. The stamped lettering is straight, and perfectly centered on the raised panels. These are Made in the USA, unlike the Professional full polished flare nut wrenches, which are now Made in China (and double the price of these). These wrenches have what is called Flank Drive or Surface Drive; the wrenches grip the fastener on its flats instead of by its corners, therefore making it less likely to round off its edges. Get these while you still can, as they appear to be being phased out.

In order to get this set, you have to click on the Notify Me When in Stock button. It took me about 2 weeks before they finally stocked these wrenches, but the wait was well worth it! As for the wrenches themselves, they're awesome! I had somewhat rounded off my brake line flare nut with an open ended wrench... Even after that, the 10mm flare nut wrench came to the rescue! These wrenches really grip and are rock solid strong! Thank you craftsman for an excellent set of wrenches!

You need these! Nothing works like good flare nut wrenches to remove stubborn flare nuts. These are well made by Danaher and don't spread apart unlike cheaper brand wrenches. The only problem is having Sears get them in stock so you can buy them. I want to buy another set so I hope Sears gets these back in stock soon.
