I have had the Craftsman 10 pc. Metric Combination Ignition set for 20 plus years. I do not know if it is because I have had them for so long but I strongly disagree with the negative reviews I have read about them. The set I have is perfectly balanced with no spurs or other defects. I have used the set to fix numerous items around the house and in my shop. They have proven themselves to be strong enough to loosen stuck bolts on my kids bicycles with little problem fitting into the tightest of spots. I hope the set that I have is still being sold and not some cheap knock-offs that appears to be the case with the negative reviews.

I bought this set 10-12 years ago, back when Craftsman must have still had some interest in supplying good tools for a decent price. Sadly I broke the 5mm the other day and took it to my local ************ which gladly and quickly replaced the entire set for me. WHAT A MISTAKE. I should have just kept my old set and bought a 5mm wrench singly from some other manufacturer... this new set is not nicely machined, it looks stamped out out of sheet metal....rough edges, ill-defined 12 point "machining", and i doubt the open end would do anything but round off the corners of any nut or bolt unfortunate enough to endure these sad excuses for tools. I will not be using these pieces of scrap metal. I'll be writing to Craftsman corporate about my utter disappointment with the brand's sell out to lowest-bidder-made junk. Maybe they'll listen, maybe they won't, but save your cash and buy something better. This isn't even fit for hobby use if you work with small fasteners

These wrenches get into the tightest spots

With changes in Craftsman manufacturing, the quality of many Craftsman brand hand tools has declined. The rims of the box ends of these wrenches are much wider than older Craftsman ignition wrenches that I own. The whole idea of this type wrench is to fit in a tight spot and do close work. The wider rims will reduce the usefulness of these tools.

Purchased as one of my students (Who will probably not get his PhD now) lost one of my old set that I purchased some 20 years ago. The 20 year old versions are just FANTASTIC quality. Unfortunately; these latest ?tools? are just cheap & nasty copies of the originals, stamped out of some junk that must have been lying around the Craftsman workshop. They are not dimensionally accurate They are much thicker than the originals (to make the cheap material as strong as the old type) They are no longer truly non-magnetic (not much good when I am working on the magneto of my 1930?s Alfa) They don?t even look nice, as the original do! All in all; I have just paid $20 for something that I could have got for $10 with a made in Taiwan label on it. I am sure that the cleaver Taiwanese would not dare to export anything as poor as this! At least they only printed the ?Made in USA? on the packet. I would be ashamed to see that statement stamped into the wrenches themselves.

This is a great little set of hard-to-find smaller metric tools. Please tell me where else to find 4.5mm and 5.5cm wrenches. My son has recently started enjoying the radio controlled vehicle hobby, and both of those wrenches have come in handy. I am a bicycle mechanic, and several of these tools have worked well in tight spots. They are also very portable on the bike. When I purchased this set, I initially felt that $20 for the two tools that I thought that I only needed was a bit pricey, but, considering the use I have made of most of the wrenches, $2 per wrench does not seem so bad.

Excellent polished thin wrench set. Excellent for tight spaces, such as tightening jam nuts. Case included making it easier to find when needed.

I love this little wrench set. It has a good selection of smaller size wrenches and offers open and closed ends of each size. It has the good Craftsman quailty you would expect as well.

If you are reading this review I want you to know that I am an avid Craftsman fan and consider mysdelf somewhat of a tool expert. I wouldn't put much faith on the negative reviews about this set which were down-loaded from the Sears.com site and migrated here. Almost all CRAFTSMAN-FEED reviews are negative. I have found these little wrenches to be exactly what is needed to get into tight spaces. The fit and finish matches those I've experienced with other Craftsman Full-Polish wrenches. My only advice is that you should purchase the complete set which includes 49 various styles and sizes. They price for the entire set is $49. Good luck and happy wrenching!

Craftsman 10 pc. Metric Combination Ignition Wrench Set is a must have set for anyone that has a shop or does home repairs. There was a special at my local Sears store & I thought, why not, so I picked up a set. I thought that I would use them on those rare instances where you would need a super small wrench. I soon discovered that I would use this wrench set more than I had realized. I use them in my shop on small engine repair and I have used them in the house and they even work fine on minor electronic repairs. I have read some of the negative reviews for these wrenches & so far, I have not had these issues. Craftsman 10 pc. Standard Combination Ignition Wrench Set has been a fine addition to my tool chest. Now you have to remember, these are for small repairs and small fasteners. They are not intended to use as pry bars and such type things. I use these when I cannot get a socket in a tight spot & need a way to loosen bolts without rounding them off by using pliers or such type items. They come in a handy little storage pouch to keep them together while they are in your tool box. This storage pouch also has a snap to keep them from falling out. I use a small metal D-hook to hold them together so that I can quickly grab the size that I need & just unhook the wrench I want. I would recommend tthis set to my friends or anyone that has the need for a good set of wrenches for small fasteners. I have had my set for 2yrs & still use them today & they still look brand new.
