I just love this socket set... The large laser etched numbers are super easy to read... They are also stamped with the normal numbering system but you don't need to squint your eyes to read those... The plastic storage tray that the set comes in is pretty convenient and keeps the set nicely organized, you can hang it on the peg board or just toss it in your tool box... As this is an half inch drive set I wish it would have come with a one inch socket instead of a 3/8 but they are all six point sockets... And this set is still Made in the USA with true Craftsman quality and the Forever Warranty...

I have been wanting these for quite some time and I am very glad that I purchased them. Very easy to read in my tool chest and just a great strong feel. I like the heave feeling to these sockets. I have had the other brand for years, but I just didn't seem as happy with brand x as I do with Craftsman. Interestingly enough, I think they are all manufactured by the same company.

These sockets are so easy to read! Very user friendly. In fact, you can read them when they are stored away in your tool storage chest. And I purchased them at the right price. Next, I am going to purchase the 6 point deep SAE sockets. I have also purchased the Cradtsman Socket organizer!

I bought the Craftsman 10pc. 1/2 inch drive socket set on sale. It was a great deal. The size of the socket is stamped on the side and is large and easy to see when working. Good quality product with a lifetime guarantee. 6 point sockets won't round off bolt heads.

This is a nice set, the 1/2 drive sockets are well constructed. I have some 1/2 drive sockets that have lasted over 30 years and are still in perfect condition. I would like to see a 1/2 drive set that does not focus on including so many smaller sockets but includes the more of the larger sizes. If you use a 1/2 drive ratchet on a 3/16 fastener you run the very real risk of snapping the fastener off in the hole. Too much torque available for the strength of the fastener. (Of course, then you have a reason to use one of the excellent Craftsman bolt removal tools!). I worked on aircraft for years and had a complete set of 1/2 drive sockets all those years. Used them only occasionally and only sizes of 7/8" and above. I suppose that, if Craftsman offered a "1/2 drive stubby" ratchet that this shortcoming would be addressed. "Sacramento" Bruce Conklin

I have almost always been pleased with the service in Carbondale. I was with the Carbondale store before it moved, and am with the small annex ( or whatwver it is called ) still there. When my wife'd billfold was stolen while she was in surgery in 2003, and someone used the card, Sears was very helpful. My point! I have a long history with Sears, and by-in-large, it has been a pleasant one. The last couple of purchases were no exception. The socket set was what I needed, when I needed it, and worked well...as to be expected. but the real key was the store help. They get an A Thanks

Craftsman is now using what appears to be laser etching, to mark socket sizes. This really speeds up my search time for the correct sizes instead of squinting and looking for the small stamped sizes, which are still on there as well. I just hope the laser etching will be durable.

Like the easy to read labeling. Hope it doesn't wear off. Always happy with craftsman wrenches and appreciate that they are not made in China.
