Overall
The Craftsman nail puller is definately heavy duty!

I just used it to remova a fiberglass patio cover. The rubber washers on the nails made it a little more difficult but this nail puller works great even when you use it to rip a hole in the fiberglass to get the nail out!

Everyone should have one in their tool box!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Leverage Action - Doesn't Damage Workpiece!

My wife has been on me for some time now to update the look of our home. She wanted each room freshly painted and in some cases hardwood flooring installed. In addition the that she wanted all the trim removed and replaced with wider profile material to give our home a more modern look.

I have done quite a bit of this type of work so I eager accepted the challenge. I set out to measure all of the rooms that I planned to start with to make a list of the materials I would need. When I was measuring up the baseboard I realized that it would be nice to have a new tool to pry the old baseboard away from the way.

I headed for Sears. There I found the perfect tool for the job. Craftsman offers two sizes of nail pullers/pry bars that have a wide scraper blade on one end. This tool seemed to be just what I was looking for, so I grabbed up both sizes and headed to the friendly checkout counter.

Each of these bars is drop forged which makes for some of the strongest possible prying action. The business ends of this tool are flat backed allowing the user to apply prying pressure without the worry of damaging the surface. The "V" shaped claws are thoughtfully designed to engage a wide variety of nail sizes and are useful in removing nails with our without heads.

They worked great! I was able to remove the baseboard without breaking a single piece. I then recycled it by using the undamaged pieces under the new crown molding that she later decided to add.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
