No complaints.
Bottom line: This is a great saw for the money. It is perfect for occasional projects and would likely fit the needs of the weekend warrior. This saw is not a professional grade piece of equipment and would likely be insufficient for contractor or prosumer use. The key feature that sold me on this saw is the expanded rip capacity. This is a feature that is not on all saws in the price range. Expanded rip capacity is something worth considering if you plan on using this saw to do dado cuts on 4X4?s as may be necessary if you are building a farmhouse table (which is obviously what I did). The stand is a nice touch. This saw is a carbon copy of the Ryobi RTS21. This is not to be confused with the Ryobi RTS20 which has a key failure point in the the bevel lock mechanism. The Ryobi RTS21 and thus the Craftsman Model #34972 appear to have remedied this bevel lock problem. I encountered no issues. The saw is intended for occasional use and it does a fine job.

Not much of a machine, small to med. items only
bought this one week ago the legs are flimsy and will not hold much weight ,the plastic hold pins on the corners are cheep ,one has broken off already when I tired to take the head off the legs to store. these pins are located right on the corners pictured in black right above the legs.miter gauge groves has a dimple in two places so its hard to make or use 1/2 "runners on a sled,so you end up with a slightly off centered cutting sled. It is fine for carrying around on light jobs such as window frames, that I'm using them on now.. If you want to use this unit for heavier then I suggest making a table where it might sit in the middle with enough table on both sides and at cutting table height.. its cheep but if that's all you need and you understand there are limitations.

Nice saw. Worthless Miter Gauge

Great saw for the amateur wood worker with one excepting. The miter gauge is flimsy plastic and completely useless. Pros are portable with places to store accessories. Easy setup and easy to store.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Saw

I bought this saw to do a couple of medium size projects around the house. This table saw is easy to move around, has plenty of power to cut through oak. Setup was easy.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Table Saw for the $$$

I needed a table saw to install the pergo flooring in the upstairs bedroom. This saw worked great! Reviews I read had complaints about how cheap or flimsy the stand is--I found it sturdy and easy to use. I am not a contractor--just a DIY kind of guy and this is a great saw, at a great value to have around for DIY home projects.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Saw, but get a different push stick

Saw has worked great as a beginner's saw. I've built 2 bookshelves and cabinet doors for an in-wall entertainment center. I really have no complaints. But today I was using the plastic push stick that it came with and the blade hit the stick. The stick shattered in my hand and felt like someone hit me in the hand with a baseball bat. I am definitely going to use wooden sticks from now on. But there is a place holder on the saw for the stick, and I can't find a replacement on the web. Maybe Craftsman will read this and send me one! Also, remeasure before you cut, the fence will be about a hair off.Other than that, the saw is worth the money, and so-so accurate, for a beginner saw.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Fool me once...

The miter track is an odd ball size of 5/8 inch instead of the standard 3/4. You can't find an accurate miter gauge either from Sears or another company, like Incra, because of this oddball size. The miter gauge that comes with this saw is useless; you can't make anything with mitered corners such as picture frames. I'll never buy Craftsman again after this experience.

Good Saw, Cheap Legs

The saw itself is very good. However, I couldn't get the legs together and ended up trashing them and purchasing a separate saw stand with wheels from Sears for $100.00. The rip fence is pretty good for such an inexpensive saw and it cuts pretty accurately. This is not the saw for you if you are a professional. However, if you need to rip 4,6, or 8 inch boards, it will do the job. You may be better at putting together really cheap legs, and they might work for you. When the legs wouldn't go together, I tried to back the screws out and start over but they stripped and wouldn't move. Cheap legs, cheap screws, but good saw. I would give this saw a 4 if the legs were better quality.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great value for the money

Easy to take apart into table + stand for storage--no wheels required to move it around. For the weekend "sawyer" making sheds, shelves and cabinets, this is about all you could ask for. The fence is adequate--always a weak point in any table saw--with good clamp-down and little side motion, but as always, "measure twice, cut once." The initial set-up was a little frustrating and one part was actually wrong, but the store was helpful and exchanged the part w/o a hassle. The carbide 10" blade standard is very much appreciated. Over-all, unless you are going to build furniture professionally or a house, this saw will do all you expected.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
