These are a must for any tool box or rollaway, plain and simple. I can see the advantage of using a 12 point socket if you do not have much room to work with, but in ordinary applications, I prefer 6 point sockets. Much more contact with the fastener head, less chance of rounding it off. 12 point sockets are notorious for that. I would also suggest filling out the set - buying those sockets not included in this particular set. Very frustrating to not have the right tool for the job. All things considered, this is a good starter set of sockets with a good range of sizes. Can't go wrong with the lifetime warranty on them, either. I also believe these are well worth the price. Buy them once, they will last a lifetime.

This socket set its a great value for the money. It is fairly inexpensive for 11 sockets. They are tough an durable. My father had these sockets for years and we both have abused them for years, and they have refused to fail. I invested in this set to begin my collection. Plus, you have that great craftsman warranty!
