I work for Time Warner, i have to constantly drill holes in brick, wood, metal, siding, concrete, and much more almost every day, i have always bought and owned craftsman and this drill has never let me down, drills nice and easy with little to no force, i like the fact that you can change it off hammer drill to conserve battery. A another great thing, the battery life is AWESOME! i highly recomend this drill to anyone, its affordable and very reliable

Had this drill for over 4 years. It's an amazing value quality item. It's been left in the rain, cold and hazardous locations. It still works. I work with several electrical contractors. One of them got a Makita Ion Lithium drill that costs more then twice the price of this Crafstman hammer drill. Two of his batteries died before one of mine did. He had to use my drill and was impressed with it's durability and power. This drill can go through concrete and brick like it's butter. Don't waste your money on a Dewalt, Bosch or a Makita, Craftsman is much more reliable, lighter, and longer lasting. Price-wise and durability wise Craftsman can't be beat.

I have owned this drill for over 5 years, and it is still going strong. I would consider myself a moderate DIYer, and this drill has been with me on every project over that time. It is powerful, and with the keyless chuck, adjusting torque settings, as well as being able to switch between hammer, driving and drilling modes this drill easily can replace two or three different drills, all in one. Only two items I can complain about are cosmetic. The rubberized grip wears down after some use, and the keyless chuck, since it is metal (not plastic, which is more of plus than a problem), has a tendency to rust, but only on the surface. Once again, only cosmetic, and easily fixed.

I use this drill practically every day. drilling into block, concrete and wood. I use it on furniture as well. this drill has 3 uses; hammer drill, regular drill and a clutch position to help set screws so as not to over tighten them. the only thing I would recomend is extra bateries so you wont have any down time; if you use the drill as often as I do. thank you

I have used this drill for about four years. It has been a great drill and I love it. But yesterday I used the hammer drill function for the first time. The drill broke. I was doing some pretty heavy duty use so I think it's just not up to that task. If you're going to use the hammer drill, make sure it's only light duty jobs. I was able to take it apart and fix it so I'll still use it, but only as a light duy drill.
