Love this saw
I bought this saw as part of a C3 package. I was skeptical at first, so I tried it out as soon as I got home. Wow. I was so surprised with the power this had. It burned through bolts with the metal blade (included) and took cutting drywall to a whole new level (with the wood blade...also included). Cutting 2x4's was also a breeze. And, just to sweeten the deal, I was pleasantly surprised at the saw's battery life. It is significantly longer than the trim saw that came in the package. Just pop in the battery and go to town. Love it!

defective and dangerous design.

i urge everyone who owns this saw (or possibly other similar models) to check the blade release mechanism. the problem is with red plastic lever used to release the blade. look inside the housing at the red plastic tab that rotates around a metal pin. although the tab is covered by a piece of metal where it pushes the metal pin to release the blade,  when a blade is placed in the saw, the metal pin protrudes into the plastic sleeve. during operation this causes immediate and significant wear on the sleeve, to the point that the plastic piece may break off during operation and cause injury to the user or bystanders.

please check your saws for this flaw.

Reciprocating Saw

This is my second one. I love this saw. I have two homes and have 3.8 acres of land that needed tender loving care. I love the ease of this saw and how it is not heavy to use either. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to trim trees and not worry about how hard this item would be to use. It is very easy and to me very lightwelght, but a powerful tool.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

This saw can handle just about any job!!!!

I got this saw on sale and have used it on big and small jobs. I even use it to trim my palm tress in the yard. I find the light usefull in some hard to reach places that don't get a lot of light. The battery run time is great with the lithium batteries. The saw handles well and cuts come out smooth and even. The changing of the blades is very easy and the saw is comfortable in my hands. I have bought this saw for just about all the guys in my family and they all love it too!!!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

solid saw!

love this tool! the led i thought might of been a little over the top but is actually useful and a nice touch for an inexpensive saw. I have cut plenty of wood and metal with this and have had no problems with it at all. Saw blades are quick and easy to change out as well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great hard working saw

I got this saw to go along with my other C3 tools, and it really works well. The tool less blade change is really nice, and the light is helpful in dark areas. I use the Lithium batteries, and it works a long time. When cutting down trees I put in a long tree cutting blade, and it zipped right through branches 2" or less as fast as a chain saw. It also made fast work of trimming branches. I do recommend the Lithium batteries for the lighter weight, extra power, and fast recharge time. Also the Lithium's lose less energy just sitting between jobs which is a big help if you don't use it every few days. Nothing is worse than being all ready to work on something, grabbing a tool and finding out the battery went dead just from sitting around. Overall a great value for the money.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman reciprocating saw is must have universal tool

I've used the Craftsman reciprocating saw to cut tree limbs, for demolition, and cutting in spots that no other saw could reach. It has been very durable, lasting 3years and still going as if it were brand new.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works for me

I bought this as I have other tools in the C3 system, and this one is no disappointment.  It's very powerful as with other C3 tools and never ran into an issue with the battery.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excellent Saw

I was concerned with the work time on a NiCd Rechargable battery when I first got this saw. Just let me say it has surpassed my expectations.

Amazing Power For A Cordless

I have the non-LED version of this saw and I love it. I don't think you can beat it for the price, and I bought it wondering if it would be powerful enough for the jobs I needed to do. Turns out, it is just fine, especially with the fullsize Lithium battery.

The first weekend I had it, I was doing demo on a property and used it to clear vegetation, cut Schedule 40 PVC pipe, cut the aluminum supports on a sun room, and cut rebar from a wall we knocked down. Amazingly enough, I broke the metal blade (operator error) before the battery ran out.

My only complaint is that the safety button is not ergonomic and should be placed closer to the trigger for one-handed operation.

I am very pleased with the power and portability of this sawzall and recommend it to anyone looking for a battery-powered reciprocating saw.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
