I picked up this saw at a recent trip to my local Sears store. I had my doubts about buying because there are many hacksaws available on the market for 1/2 the price. I was drawn to the weight of the saw and its balanced feel in my hand. Blade changing is easy and the D-handle is very convertible. In the end I am happy I paid the extra few dollars. This will probably be the last hacksaw I ever buy.

These hacksaws will cut fast but they dull the blades out so fast I don't thnk they are economical to use. I usually end up reaching for my industrial strength hacksaw and get far better results, and I keep using the same blade much longer. Sometimes I use the Craftsman hacksaw and the blade is smooth after one use. It's a good value but I would expect a better product from Sears. Sears seems to have slipped when they went elsewhere to get their hacksaws.

Has all features. stores extra blades in top. tricky to convert to a jab-style blade, but might be useful.

Good Hacksaw for the price. I've used it so far to cut through PVC pipe not real demanding of a task but the saw worked well on it. It has a comfortable grip. Would buy again.

This saw is not the best I've ever used, but it's still far from the worst. The blade included with the saw is not very good, but I anticipated that and bought a set of blades when I bought the saw. The saw has good balance, and the blade storage is average, the plastic cover for it comes off too easily, and was lost the first day I used it. The screw to hold the blades in storage should be a thumb screw, needing a tool to access it is a downfall. Were it not for the warranty, I probably would have bought a different brand.

I am a construction electrician that regularly uses this to cut EMT, strut, or rod. The hacksaw is comfortable to use, sturdy, and changing blades is easy. The option to change the blade to flush cut is also nice when needed. I gave it 4 stars because it was not made in America. I noticed it after I had used it or I probably would not have bought it. I have been using the hacksaw frame for a year now with no issues.

Standard cut, flush cut, and tight access cutting make this versatile and the tension adjust is very easy. I also like the blade storage. The other reviews about dulling the blade rapidly has nothing to do with the saw itself but of th blades. Buy quality blades and you will have nothing to worry about.
