Good level

These levels are high quality and good workmanship. Even after dropping they maintain their accuracy, as checked with new levels.

I got this ASAP when i read the info on it. Guarenteed for life, pitched, and 12in.! As soon as it is unlevel you can bring it back and get a new one for free. Good magnet strength too. If its too big, use a piece of black steel to level out pipe too small to put on the whole level.

The compact size of this level makes it easy to use, and the magnetic frame held it to the vanity light fixture I was installing so I could level it off.  It works great!

I liked this Craftsman 12" level so much that I've bought one each for my sons and a relative.   While it's typically difficult to become excited over such a mundane tool as a level, this one will surprise you with solid quality construction and features.

This 12" jewel offers 4 vials, one of those for pitch in addition to what's usually found on a level.  The size makes it very convenient to check the "level" of home appliances such as an oven, refrigerator, washer, etc.

The magnetic strip keeps it in position when used vertically on the side of an appliance, freeing a hand from that task.  This strip also allows the level to be stored in places one couldn't otherwise - keeping it available and not buried in a tool chest.   Smaller size levels almost always have a way of "hiding" from you when needed!

Add Craftsman's lifetime warranty with a very reasonable price...  and Sears has hit a home run with this tool.  By the way, this 12" level is MADE IN THE U.S.A.! 

Edit - The Craftsman 12" level that I've reviewed is black & silver rather than black & gold.  The part numbers are identical so I believe that is the only difference.  My comments should equally apply to either regardless of color used on the product.

Good level with the needed bubbles for plumb, angle and horizontal. Surprised at how much I use it over my old 9" level. I used to go and drag out my 24" level when I thought the 9 incher was not evaluating enough length, but I seem to have much more confidence with those three extra inches for small jobs. This has filled a gap for me as it fits so nicely in a farily small tool bag or box and I'm now covered well with 9", 12", 24", 48" and 72" levels... However, the case or rather plastic sleeve it comes with is very lacking as it is stiff and hard to remove the level easily.

I believe that you need an assortment of level of various sizes to fit any application.  This 12" model comes in very handy for a number of uses and fits perfectly in my carry around toolbox.

It has helped me install kitchen cabinets on multiple occassions.

This particular Craftsman offering is verey well made.  The heavy duyt aluminum frame will last for years if properly cared for and the bumper pieces on each end protect the tool from accidental drops.

I think you'll find this model very useful and you certainly can't beat the price or warranty.
