After using the smaller version of this tool I moved on to building a very large deck using some 2X12 boards and the need for a larger speed square became evident very quick! A fast trip over to Sears and now laying out my cut lines is much easier as is using this as a cross-cut guide for my circular saw! So many uses, so little money! Extreme high quality and it's Craftsman!

The Craftsman 12 inch Aluminum Rafter Square is a handy little tool to have. Easy to make your marks and it's easy to read. It's pretty tough and can take a fall or two, but not made to be abused. I like it's light weight. Very easy to use and quick to grab out of your tool belt. I use mine in my shop mostly, but have some yard and shed projects comming up that will see some use for my rafter square.

Tough and lightweight for it's durability. Comes in handy when making a mark on something and not having to make a mark, turn the square around and continuing the mark such as with the speed square. Mine is accurate on measurements and pitch.
