Worthless Battery

Drill works great.......for a little while! Then the battery goes dead. Not worth replacing the battery. Get a different drill!

Bad Battery

I have the same problems with Craftsman 3/8 wireless drill. Drill is very good. Batteries are real junk. They worked well a few months, then "passed away": I can work just a couple dozen minutes on fully charged batteries now. Ridiculous!

Overall
junk 12 Volt Battery for a great drill

I have bought Craftsman hand and power tools for over 30 years now. Always loved them and recommended them. This last drill works nice when the batteries hold a charge. Had it a short time, and on a full charge the drill will not even give me 2 gours of charge (using both batteries). I charge them fully before putting them away, and a few days later, when I need it, 1 is dead and the other will not even drive a #6 screw. I will keep buying the hand tools, but I do not know if I can consider buying their cordless tools anymore. Reliabilty is terrible ... economically I might as well buy DeWalt or Makita or Bosch, since by the time I replace the batteries in 2 years, I could have bought the better companies drills. Sorry Craftsman, but you lost a long time customer

Great drill, useless batteries

My batteries also fail to hold a charge. The drill is not that old! When it works, the drill is super, and I love it. Sears says they only have a 90 day warranty on the batteries. So, now I have to pay $40 to replace the two batteries that came with the drill, when I only paid $70 for the drill in the first place! Unless you want to pay $40 a year to maintain a $70 drill, I'd buy something else.

3/8" Drill

Very nice drill, BATTERY will not hold charge, in first month of service found that battery would go dead in two days or less without any use. Refuse to give $19.99 for replacemet battery. Prior to this I had same problem with the 1/4" drill pack.

Poor Battery

I liked the drill it self and the balance of it so much that I gave my mother my heavy 5yr old Makita drill only to find the battery on my new craftsmans didn't last more then a year. Not a bad drill when the battery works.
