Somehow both of my rear tires on my 4 year old Craftsman High Wheel mower went at the same time? I looked at the sears website and they had 12 of these in-stock. When I got to the store, there were only a few well picked over tires on the shelf and not what I needed. The associate told me I had to order online, but I told him about the site and he went to look in the back and sure enough, he came out with two. I am not happy I had to buy two new tires but it's cheaper then a new mower. Overall though 10 mins and both tires were on and mowing again

$24 for a tire is a little excessive.

Of all the years I have purchased Craftsman tools, I have never had such a POOR performing item ever. The quality of the mower, and cost of it's parts, makes me want to buy a different brand next time. I haven't had the mower 2 years and it's falling apart. As for the tire?????? For another $25 I could have had a car tire.

      Plastic Wheel

Plastic wheel made very cheap. Made to break. Had to replace most of wheels on mower. Replacement wheels way over priced. Choose different mower!

      Poor Made Wheels

I have been a long time Craftsman loyalist. However, the wheel design for their lawnmowers is terrible, both front and back. They are plastic! Worst part is they have plastic riding on metal. They don't last very long at all. Hey Sears, can I trade old in for new like Crafstman tools? Will never buy another Craftsman mower. Feel like I have been cheated.

      Good Generic Replacement Wheel

The wheel is a good generic replacement for many originals. I've had two wheels break off two summers in a row (originals failed). Part of my mowing is along the edge of a hayfield which is VERY rough. The original wheels were ball-bearing, but this one runs as smooth as those did. I applied a light coating of lithium grease to the axel before installing the wheels and renew it regularly. Biggest problem is that the Sears store I visit changes this wheel design from year to year and It's impossible to get an exact match for the broken one unless you buy two at a time.

      wheels

Someone should get a new supplier for lawnmower wheels. First they are plastic and the grooves wear smooth within a season. They need to be rubber. the center section cracks each year. The center section should be metal to fit on the spindle. The wheels are not up to expectations for a craftsman lawnmower. I bought this lawnmower for quality and Sears failed in giving me that. At $24.00 a piece that gets quite expensive each year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      lousy 12 inch wheels

These 12" lawnmower wheels are marketed as being better and great for uneven lawns. In reality they seem to crack easily hear the hub, causing the wheel to wobble and need replacement. At $25 / each to replace - it is highway robbery - those Sears brigands are in my pockets again.
