Craftsman  12V Portable Inflator w/ Digital Tire Pressure Gauge

Purchased this as a gift for my step-daughter who recently started driving her own car. You never know when you might need this device. Makes tire inflation easy and the included guage makes the job accurate.

Had really high hopes for this to air car tires, bike tires, balls, etc. It works great at all those but the built in gauge that you can take off and use is NOT accurate. Inflates care tires at a good rate but jumps around like a popcorn bag. Going to keep it as it flows air well, just do not rely on the gauge and hold on to it.

First off, as others have mentioned, there are a large amount of vibrations as it operates, and because of that, the hose will slowly be cut by the plastic, and you will develop a leak. Using some electrical tape, I reinforced the hose, giving it more protection so I would not run into the problem of it leaking. The gauge that it comes with is inaccurate. It also is very slow in pumping up tires to the PSI required. However, it is a 12v compressor, so I don't expect it to fill tires as fast as my compressor at home (several seconds). Takes maybe 1-2 minutes for every 20 PSI. It is nice to have along, so that I can air down my tires while driving in deep snow, off road, etc, and then be able to re inflate and drive on the highway and not find a compressor first. For the price ($35), it isn't worth it as the hose is easily cut through by the vibrations, the time it takes, and the inaccuracy of the gauge it comes with. If you can get it for around $10 on sale, then go for it.

This thing works great and has some cool features for a really inexpensive product. It's powerful enough to fill spare tires (60 psi). It's not lightning fast, but you have to be realistic with the cost and the power 12v can deliver.

Very convenient and well designed. Good to keep in trunk and will inflate tires quickly. The auto feature works good and the gauge is pretty accurate.

Our oldest of these is at least 10 years old and still runs like a champ. Most recently, bought one for my husband 2 years ago. They do the job, every time. I drive over 400 miles a week to and from my job so this is an essential item for me to have. I like being able to test and fill my tires anywhere at any time! Makes a great gift.

The pump did its job very well. As the device vibrates, though, the plastic casing gradually wears a hole in the hose. If not for the hole, I would have been able to give this tool a 5-star rating and to use it for years.

I have a Land Rover Discovery II and the tire was nearly flat from an embedded nail. This filled the tire with air within about 5 minutes (maybe less). I was able to frive the tire from where I bought it from so that they could honor the road hazard guarantee (which they did). This was several miles away. When I got there the tire still looked full. (Be sure to leave your engine running when you use this product)

We have had this product for a year and it has worked perfectly every time we have used it. No problems. I would say it's a great product for the price!
