Got this inflator as a gift Christmas of 2011, used it twice was not impressed. The screw on connector is a terrible idea as you lose too much air while unscrewing and the gauge was off by at least 12lb. Went to use it for the third time yesterday on a car tire, plugged it in and would not power on. Inspected the power plug and found that the plastic inside near the fuse had melted to the spring and fuse which resulted on zero contact with the power outlet. Do not waste your money on this product!

The pump made it through just three of the four tires on my car before it stopped with a blown fuse in the DC plug.

Overall this inflator works, but the cigarette lighter plug was very chealy made and after using a half dozen times, it was in pieces.

Solid compressor for a 4x4 or anyone just looking to keep up on their tire pressures... 10min on 10min off, its a 50% duty cycle compressor. If you can obide by that then it will be the only one you'll ever need.

Just got this out of the box & worked over all my cars. Compact, easy to use, nice selection of accessories, worked just great. Ask me in 10 years, but so far this is exactly what I want in a compact inflator.

I have used it several times since purchasing. It is quiet and efficient. Inflates quickly. Glad it has a gauge or I would have over-inflated everything.

I have purchased tire inflators for many years and nearly annually. Up until now I've had nothing but poor quality. I purchased this Craftsman 12V Portable Inflator after yet another prior purchase failed to operate. We immediately checked and inflated all our auto's tires, to save on gas consumption.. We try and keep them inflated near 40 PSI on cars and up to 50 PSI on Big tires like the off road types on my Jeep. seems like every time we tried to check tire pressures the prior owned brands all failed. The Craftsman inflator didn't overheat and or blow fuses like all the rest do. I buy Cratfsman because of their durable products and this inflator keeps my faith in Craftsman.

I used it once every other time I try to use it it has blow the fuse, which I can not find any where and Sears does not even carry the replacement fuses for their own device. It was a waste of money.

Craftsman 12V Portable Inflator was not powerful enough. I was putting a 1-2 pounds of air in each tire. The inflator got hot quickly. After I inflated the 3rd tire it overheated and shut down. I was so frustrated that I packed the inflator in the box and returned it to Sears. Don't waste your money on this inflator. Going to do more research before I buy another one.

You can't fill up a tire with a screw on adapter. While you're unscrewing it form the tire valve the air you just put in leaks out. The rubber around the adapter is very cheap and isn't strong enough to twist the meetal adapter it's around, so the rubber turns and not the valve. I would love this if I caould only use it to fill bike tires with (what I bought it for). Now I'm back to using the hand pump (1/2 the price but with the standard connector you would expect)
