I've used this to fend off headcrabs for several weeks now, and have yet to be zombified. No, seriously people, it's a prybar. It's made in the good ol' U.S. of A. and that, along with the shape, was the primary reason I bought it. It did not let me down in the light-duty jobs I've subjected it to. Indeed, the finish has been left unmarred by the multiple hammer-blows necessary to remove the interior window trim from the second floor of my house. Buy it, the American job you save might be your own.

Works good, does what it's supposed to do and if it breaks I get a new one.

This is one of two pry bars that all carpenters and home DIY'ers should own. The other is the traditional 36 inch crow bar. The Craftsman 13 1/2 inch pry bar does many things well. The bar has several notched spots for nail removal. One is at either end and another along the inside of the bar. Stubborn nail heads can be "bitten" by driving the pry bar onto the nail by hitting the other end with your hammer to "wedge" the two together, or force it to "bite". One of the most used ways for my bar is as a "mover" or "lifter". Many times you need one more hand to lift as you nail or screw and the bar has the ability to lift short heights or long depending on which end is under your material. Simply use your foot to lower the raised end to lift the end under your material. As a mover the bar excells because of its flat shape making it fit into tight spots. Drive the bar between materials and move horizontally or vertically as your condition requires to move materials in the direction needed. This bar is indestructable in construction, fits easily into a tool box, does specific jobs well and belongs in your tool collection.

I LOVE THIS PRY BAR. I PURCHASED IT TO REPLACE ON THAT I HAD PURCHASED FROM A LOCAL TEMPORARY TOOL STORE. IT SURE DOES THE JOB. THE OTHER PRY BAR WOULD STRAIGHTEN OUT FLAT WHEN TRYING TO PRY ON SOMETHING, HOWEVER THE CRAFTSMAN DID EXCEPTIONALLY WELL. YOU KNOW IT, ITS A CRAFTSMAN.

I are remodeling my house, and I have been using the pry bar on a daily basis for three months. The pry bar is very strong, yet lightweight. Both ends are slim and fit into those tight places other pry bars don't. It's not really a problem, but the only issue I have had w/ this bar is both ends are very sharp. I have cut myself w/ it on numerous occassions, doing something as simple as picking it up. This could be easily resolved w/ a bench grinder. Like I said it's not really a problem, and probably why it fits so easily between boards. Just a word of caution.

I lost my pry bar to my son a while back. That just means he borrowed it and never brought it back. So I saw this one on sale and jumped on it. Great Value and who doesn't need a pry bar from time to time.

Craftsman 13-1/2 in. All Purpose Pry Bar. The pry bar is made of high carbon steel. It is 13-1/2 inches long. Nail puller at both ends which is a nice feature. One end is curved for easy prying capabilities. It is a heavier pry bar, I am not sure of the weight but it feels like it would be 2-4 pounds. This is a necessity for any home owner and or general contractor. It is made in the U.S.A. What I liked about this the best was the price point. Last month (7-2009) and this month (8-2009) is is on sale with the Craftsman Club card for $4.99, regular price $9.99. All you need is to sign up with a phone number!!! Well worth it. This tool is tough and rugged.
