Overall
Perfect for punching through thin steel

I bought this bit to drill some extra holes in some Rubbermaid FastTrack rails I'd bought. Normally the rails have enough holes, but I'd cut several pieces of track in order to fit them into the space between the garage door and the wall. This drill bit was perfect for punching new holes into the rail where I needed them. I just clamped the rail down to my workbench and even with a regular Craftsman C3 cordless drill, this bit went right through with no walking and no twisting. It probably took me 45-seconds to 1 minute for each hole I punched, but I was taking it easy and using compressed air to blow away the shavings every 10-15 seconds. I've punched 8 holes so far and there's no perceptible marks on the bit. It still looks as new as it did out of the package.

If you're not familiar with the FastTrack rails, they're approx 1/8-3/16" thick to give you something for reference.
