I was lucky enough to pick this up on sale. I bought it and put it to use right away. After about a week of using it the metal head which hooks the branch and hides the blade actually snapped. Part was due to the fact I may have been trying to cut a branch slightly bigger than this was intended for. I took it back to sears and got a brand new one. No trouble. No questions asked. I realized then that this was made for small branches and if I need to cut down anything larger than about an inch I would have to put the saw extention on. So my advise. Remember what it is intended to cut. Don't try to over due it and you will be happy with this.
Bought one years ago. It was great. I would rate the old one a 5 star. I cut everything with it.It finally broke and they replaced it with this junk. It is not sturdy. The saw blade is so cheap and flimsy I could not cut anything with it.
checked this out and purchased after noting it is virtually identical to the Corona pruner which is typically $60 or more. It is a serviceable homeowner saw, not a commercial quality tool. But for the price it is a relative bargain. I would highly recommend it for anyone who will occasionally have the need to prune small to medium branches of 1 to 3 inches.

I bought a yellow Craftsman pole saw 15 years ago, and it finally gave out. I replaced the blade (trade ins) about 3 times over the 15 years. Now the whole, old saw was ready for a trade in. Sears traded me for the new version, but the blade is no longer covered by the awesome Craftsman warranty. To top it off, the new blade is inferior and doesn't cut well.
I didn't expect to be able to trim and saw so easy with this tool, however; it made cleaning, pruning, and trimming a snap. The trees look so much better after a winter of non-maintenance. I like this tool, it really helps with pruning and trimming.
