Built on a large, sturdy cast-iron base, this machine offers stability and flexibility with its 45-degree tilting table. The only concern is it has no fence, no concern I ordered a rival online, bolted on in a matter of minutes. I took 4x4 cedar for table legs and in a short time made almost perfect legs for my current table project. The saw flew through the 4x4. I would recommend the saw to the above average DIY woodworker
Spend couple of week searching and review different bandsaws and I finely decided on the craftsman 14 inch. I ordered for free store pickup and was very well pleased with the service. The saw was easily assembled and only took several minutes to fine tune it for precision cutting. This saw is a great added convenence to fine wood working and making simple cuts for quick projects.

I can't speak for the durability as of yet. what I can say is directions were great fit and finish was great. Saw is quiet and the supplied blade tracks well. I paid $359 on sale and I am very surprised. This saw is made by RIKON. If you look on Rikon's website you will find it to be an exact match with the 10-321 that most websites sell for $599. I used a RIKON fence and it fit great! I used an incra mitre gauge. It is now time to get some Timberwolf blades. I could not see getting any smaller of a bandsaw. I am so glad I did not get the 10 inch bandsaw that I was considering. Love it. 1 Ding for no leads from sears as to a fence that would have worked. I had to research that myself.
Saw went together fairly easily but photos in instructions were very dark. Set up was straightforward and am satisfied with my work. Have used the saw a couple times and it does a great job cutting for me.
It took about 2 hours to assemble. Then I let it set for a day. I found some pine, it cut fine. I fould some 2" Walnut and I cut a 1/8" strip with a problem. I had forgotten to tighten the belts. Less than one minute later It cut the wood fine. I also cut some 1" oak. No problem. I am very pleased with the saw and would recommend it.
So right off the bat, I was charged for the full non-sale price and then given the discount that shows on Sears.com. The problem is they still haven't refunded the excess sales tax collected! Now for the saw. They shipped it with the blade fully tensioned! So how long has that unit been stored with the blade stretching and compressing the tires in the same spot? Just not a good practice IMO. So after putting it together and starting it, found the blade wobbles fore and aft about a quarter inch and is probably due to the upper wheel having too much axial runout. I also put it into low speed and found the same issue as another reviewer.....the tensioner pulley doesn't line up with the belt properly. I'm not looking forward to a wobbly, single speed saw, so let's hope customer service can help.
Decent. Nothing special. Best part was the price. The set up wasn't too hard, which was really nice. I haven't found any issues with it - but haven't asked much either.
this saw is excellent to work with have a little trouble with blade belts bought new belts or bands that fits a rikon 14 in band saw and used a rikon fence blade track better after I changed wheel bands and tension spring the one that comes with the saw is to weak with a few modifacatons this is a saw for every one to use at the price I have seen on other brands this is the band saw that I use every day in my shop
This saw is made by Rikon for sears and is identical to their 10-321 model. To adjust the lower wheel, go to the Rikon web site and find their model 10-321 bandsaw. You will find a addition to their tech manual for adjusting the lower wheel that is not found in the sears tech manual nor the Rikon manual. Great saw for the money.
