Craftsman 22' Self-Propelled Mower Makes Lawn Care Easy

With the Craftsman Self-Propelled Mower, it really is possible to do more work with less effort. With front wheel drive, the mower pull itself - you just have to follow along for the ride. You can collect clippings easily in the included bag or mulch them for instant, free fertilizer - or switch between the two with ease, no tools required. Bonus points: The dust-blocker bag helps keep dirt and grass pollen from blowing up into your face.

This 22' Self-Propelled Mower is easy from the beginning - literally. The Briggs & Stratton motor delivers a smooth, easy, frustration-free start. An adjustable handle lets you find the most comfortable mowing position, while the blade adjusts as well. Pick heights ranging from 'I'm obsessive about mowing so the grass just needs a trim' to 'I put it off as long as possible so I'm cutting through a jungle again.

  • The Craftsman Self-Propelled Motor has a 22 in. Torus deck that's easy to handle and control - particularly with front-wheel drive that lets the machine do most of the work.
  • Collect clippings in the 2.3 cubic foot bag or mulch grass. There are no tools required to set up either system.
  • The 550e Briggs & Stratton Silver Series Overhead Valve 140cc* engine is equipped with Smooth Start to get you going quicker.
  • The front-wheel drive single-speed propelled drive system lets the mower do the work.
  • The Dust-Blocker Grass Bag helps keep dirt away from user.

22" Self Propelled Piece of Junk
DO NOT BUY THIS MOWER. This mower is the worst I have ever owned in 45 years of mowing lawns. When the mower comes to a stop at a fence or tree or any object, the wheels lock when trying to pull it back from the obstacle. I have had taken this mower back to Sears twice to have it shipped to their repair shop but upon return it was not fixed either time. Grass flies out from the area around the bag. The lawnmower is worthless and Sears cannot fix it but they won't take it back either

Doesn't mulch well, under-powered.

This little engine is in over its head on this bigger machine. Do yourself a favor, cough up a little more dough, and at least get a 6.75 TP engine.

140cc 22" Front Drive Self-Propelled Mower

Was easy out of the box, raise and tighten handle, push the gas button three times and it started right up!! Very easy to use and love that you can either mulch or bag the grass...

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Simple and self propelled, It works!

I had just bought a new Toro self propelled mower from HD that had vairiable speed self propel feature that did not work well at all. I returned it after two uses because the variable drive would just quit working after a few minutes of use. I then went to my local Sears store and bought this mower because it was the only one sears offered with single speed self propel feature ( I know this works because I am replacing my 9 year old Single speed self propeled 21 inch Craftsman due to age). This mower works just like the proven machine that it is replacing except this one has a little less power than the old 6.75 model that I had. It works well though and I like the ability to prime the engine unlike the other engines currently offered at the store. I do recommend this item, however, I would have been more interested in a Craftsman front drive single speed mower with a B&S 6.75 engine for a bit more money!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman self-propelled mower

Bought this mower about a month ago. Easy to start and the grass easily dumps out of the bag. The height adjustments are harder than my old Yard-man mower. This model doesn't have a hose attachment for cleaning. Move up to the high-wheel model. You get a more comfortable handle.

Craftsman 22' SP mower

Solid mower.  Starts easily.  At first I thought the bag was too small but then decided that by being smaller it was easier to empty, as I always let it get real full before I stop to empty it.  I could handle empting the bag into a plastic bag with one hand on each.  Goes everywhere I point it and mulches very well

I would recommend this product to a friend.

CRAFTSMAN MOWER REFUSES TO RESTART

IT SURE IS PRETTY FOR A LAWNMOWER. HOWEVER, IF I HAVE TO STOP THE THING TO PICK UP LARGE TWIGS OR TO HAVE A CONVERSATION, IT WILL NOT RESTART AFTER THE SECOND TIME. I HAVE TO LEAVE IT FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES AND THEN IT STARTS UP AGAIN FINE. ITS RIDICULOUS.
