Great edger.
Engine a bit smaller than my last edger but it does the job. Triple blade may be the answer. Love the curb hopper feature and the tilting blade makes a cleaner cut around flower beds. Also a trenching option that would bury cable or electric wire to outlying buildings. Would recommend over cheaper versions.

B&S Series 550 Engine Issues
Love the design, however the B&S engine has problems. My first one in April 2013 had governor issues. I'm about to return the second one because engine cuts out. It's not real bad now, but in a couple years could cost money. Too bad B&S can't get the Series 550 engine problems solved.

Not bad!

Ordered online for in store pickup . Almost fully assembled in box. Comes with extra blade that can be added for minor trenching. Added gas and the supplied oil, choked 3 times and pulled the chord. Started right up. Edged straight and crisp. Would buy again if needed, but looks to be built to last a lifetime.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Edger

I wanted an edger for use on my own lawn to care for about 150 feet of edge work. After considerable research and reading of reviews I finally settled on this edger. It was a great choice. I couldn't be happier with this edger. It starts with the first crank, and frankly a very easy one at that, and runs like a sewing machine. It has all the power that I need for my lawn work, even when the blade is lowered to the maximum depth. It is heavy enough that it doesn't bounce around during use, but light enough that it can be manhandled in just about any manner you choose and works well in areas with limited space. It leaves a very clean cut edge that I am proud to share with passers by. I am only into my first summer of use, but without question, I would make this purchase again.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

huge waste of money, time, and expectations

I want an edger that will give a good, clean look around trees, flower beds, and sidewalks. I expect one that will start each time and work whether the ground is wet or dry. When I am finished, I expect it to look professionally done. Unfortunately, this product does NONE of the above. It is a very expensive piece of junk that does NOT work. The edge looks messy, the blade got bogged down every four feet, and it only started 50% of the time. I took it back, obviously. I am extremely disappointed when I am willing to shell out big bucks for something and it does not work.

Have only used this trimmer/edger one time, but it did a great job. Very east to use and manuver. Very easy assembly out of the box. Highly recommend.

My new Craftsman edger starts easily and does the job well.

The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the adjusting bracket to raise/lower the right wheel for curbside edging is poorly designed and difficult to manipulate. On my old Craftsman edger (which lasted for 13 years with routine maintenance and a couple of hardware part replacements) the raising/lowering mechanism was much easier to operate.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Edger

I waited a year before writing this review .The unit starts very easily and cuts right through even thick spots on the lawn.I purchased an extra blade when I bought it, but have not had to use it.The original is still going strong.I do use stabil fuel stabilizer for all my outdoor gasoline powered products.I use this machine weekly during the grass growing season to cut approximately 500 feet of edge grass.I push the primer 3x hold the handle down pull the cord and its running. Thanks for making such a reliable product.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

works good

Have only used it once so far and it works better than expected. i hadn't edged my sidewalks in over a year and it was pretty overgrown and the edger cut right through it with no problem. seemed to have more than enough power.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman Edger

Overall happy with the assembly and performance but the curb height adjustment needs to drop the wheel down a little more to work for me. I guess designed for lower curbing.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
