Very lightweight for a high wheel mower
I had the same problem dsohio had. Brought mower home, set it up, mowed for about 15-20 minutes. Stopped to remove some fallen branches and tried to restart the mower. No luck. Walked around to the front and noticed gas streaming from the carburetor. It kept dripping until the tank was empty. Took it back and got another (same model). This time, the results were better. My previous Craftsman mower lasted 10 years. This mower is surprisingly light; it's almost like pushing a toy. My old Craftsman was MUCH heavier by comparison. Given the number of slopes and tree roots I mow around, that should be an advantage. It's also quieter than my old mower. Height adjustment is quick and easy and a tank of gas lasts longer. Easy to start and does a good job cutting. Except for the apparent quality control problem in manufacturing/assembly, this seems to be a reasonably good buy. Now I'll see if THIS one lasts 10 years.

Craftsman High Wheel Side Discharge Push Mower
I chose this mower for fuel economy. Very tempted by Husqvarna 6021P, but the reviews were all over the board. So I went to the local Sears and picked this one. Just finished my first mowing. One hour, or two miles. Still had gas left. This would take 2 tanks of gas in my old B&S push mower. For $200 class, I rate as 5 stars. Update-5/3/12: Just finished my second mowing. When I went to refill the tank, gas began dripping out the bottom of the carburetor and ran all over the deck. It would not start. It did this two times (it finally started after 40 minutes of rest) I will exchange it for another of the same model and hope I just had bad luck.

better then expected

Right out of the box, add oil, add fresh gasoline. 2nd pull. This was very nice since having had shoulder reconstruction, pull strings are painful. I have used this mower for the last month about 5 times. Each time it starts right up, first or second pull, no true force required. The wheels are easy to adjust with the tabs behind the wheels, and the cut is very clean. The mower is much lighter then expected, and the larger wheels on the back make getting into uneven territory a breeze. I am very impressed with the quality and ease of use of this mower.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Won't start

Have mowed the lawn approximately four times with the mower performing as advertised. Attempted to mow the lawn this evening. The mower started promptly, ran roughly for approximately one minute, began an uneven revving, and the quit. Tried several restarts. The machine would catch and rev and then die. Seems like a fuel problem. Came in an read the reviews only to find out several other Sears customers have had a similar experience with this mower. Unconscionable that Sears continues to sell this product with out remedial action. No wonder they are on the cusp of going out of business - very bad management. Guess running a company is different than ruining one through leverage buyouts all tho' Sears management has experience with both. Don't buy this mower!

Easy Assemble, Easy Start, Great Cut

This mower starts very easily and has a great cut. It pushes really pretty easily. I had the same Murray for 13 years prior to this purchase but it finally gave out. It was a little easier to push but it was lighter with this mower being heavier material used to build it. I have now used it 3 times and extremely happy and hope it lasts a long time.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Junk

1st one wouldn't start the 2nd time I used it. Returned it for another. 2nd mower was a repeat of the 1st one. From what I've seen lately, craftsman weed-eaters and mowers are junk.

Works just like they say....

I'm very happy with this mower. I needed a new push mower BAD so I did a ton of research and found this to be the best bang for the buck...bought it today and it was great. The folks at SEARS were very nice and I was pleased with the service. Got it home and it was together in 10 minutes and running...it started on the 1st pull too...just like they say. It cut my grass(which was HIGH) very easily...thank you CRAFTSMAN for building a great and affordable push mower!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
first mower brought home would not start , nor second

We tried for several days to start the first mower before we returned it to Sears. The associates there could not start it either, but their first question was"Did you take out extended warranty?" AFTER FOUR DAYS????? We took the second one home and assembled it but it would not start. Our neighbor came to assist us and after he spent about two hours , he found an obstruction of glue in the fuel line between the gas tank and the carburator. It started then with first pull. We called Sears to tell them that they may have a problem but no one seemed concerned. When we returned the first mower , they took away our reward points and said there was no way they could get them back because we retuned the item????? We did get our points back after making a couple of calls.
