Good bang for the buck
This saw is great for the price! I had bought a table saw from ************** and it was garbage( as, apparently, all HF power tools are). This was nicely designed w/ it's own stand. I read reviews on this saw before I bought, and it always kills me that people buy an entry level power tool and expect it to perform like a precision surgical instrument under comercial industrial use. I bent one of the stand rails when I put my foot on it, it's not sturdy enough for that, but I love that it at least comes w/ a stand and the accessories are easy to use and remove. I recently bought a cheap set of dado blades and the saw performed great as long as I didn't try to cut more than 1/3 " at a time. I like that the blade guards form a thin rectangle that can be used to line up the cut. If you're a professional or a master craftsman, you will probably need a lot more saw, but if you are a weekend warrior like me, this will probably do the job.

Works, but you'll outgrow it before you lose the manual.
I'll just add this observation: the second you need to make precise cuts, throw a dado on it, or do anything where you're working in 1/16ths, it's going to fall apart. There is a good benefit to a weak saw - it stalls before it kicks back. So if you do something dumb, the saw will die before you will. That isn't going to happen with a serious saw. Overall a frustrating product if you're looking for precision (and 1/16th is hardly precision). Nonetheless, it's handled tasks around here semi-admirably.

Good saw for a reasonable price

The saw is as advertised - not for fine cabinet making but will do the cutting for the normal DIY homeowner

Craftsman Table Saw

The saw works well. The stand could have been simple if you had two people to assemble it.

Close to a good deal

This table saw excels in performance for such an inexpensive solution, but cannot be recommended for two reasons. The miter sled is too cheaply designed. It will not hold its angle consistent as there is play in the proprietary channel resulting in varying angles resulting from the same setting. The proprietary channel is the second reason. I cannot use standard table saw accessories such as a featherboard, making this a more dangerous unit as well resulting in less quality cuts. The price is right, the fence works very well despite gimmicky appearance, the engine and blade are excellent. Overall this gets a no. Keep looking if you need better precision.

Good Saw for the Money

The saw will not set the world afire with features or reliability, but it will suit the needs of most homeowners more than adequately. It has the features needed for most "around the house" type cuts. I used it to cut down some boards to finish off my stairs in my basement and, in conjunction with my miter saw, to help with the baseboards and crown molding for a complete basement finishing project. The price cannot be beat for the value.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Saw

This was my first table saw. I recently started doing some woodwork and found I needed to make better cuts than I was making by hand. After searching online I found te Craftsman Evolv was the best value for what I needed.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
