Craftsman  154 pc. Mechanics Tool Set

Any time I can buy a tool for less than $1 a tool it's a good deal.

I originally purchased the 220pc set which was a complete waste of time. I've owned craftsman tools for a long time and have never had any complaints, but that particular set was useless in my book. Way to many pieces that you'll never use... This set was perfect! I already own a large set of tools and had a smaller set to go with it (94pc set), but I just needed something a little bigger than what I had and this definitely had what I was looking for. Plenty of sockets and wrenches to pick from and of course the craftsman lifetime warranty to go with it. Couldn't ask for more. This set won't disappoint if you're looking for a really good basic set to keep in the car or for just needing something for a quick fix around the house.

This is a great variety set. I purchased it to keep in my vehicle as you never know what can happen on the road, plus my DIY maintenance. I think it's a great deal but wish more of the sockets were 12 point instead of 6. ...seems like that wouldn't raise the cost much either. (that's why this is not 5 stars in my opinion) Otherwise, I think this set is great and love the variety of sockets, wrenches, drivers and bits. This is a solid tool set for "just in case" things and even DIY stuff. ...the 1/2" stuff is great when working on the truck!

A good core kit to have for any person; the pro or the home mechanic. Excellent quality tools that can literally be passed on to a next generation, be used with confidence , or, sold. That is very unusual these days!!!

Great item, only issue was having 1 of the tools missing in the kit, had to return the whole kit to get the 1 missing wrench. Had to make 2 trips to store.

I got this set because of how cheap it was for the amount of sockets it came with i did not need any of the other things. The sockets are great all six point and most sizes you'll ever need great starter set to add on to. The wrenches are ok but you you only get 10 so i don't know what you are supposed to do with them, ratchets are ok as well, they are very short so i dont use them very often. The screwdriver is junk but if you were not going to use it often im sure it'd be fine. Overall good deal.

I buy and sell on e-bay all the time. so when I decided to purchase a 154 pc mechanics tool set I figured this is a no brainer. I signed on my account on e-bay and did a search and found the craftsman 154 tool set on line from prices from 115.00 to 125.00 then they wanted 25 dollars to ship. well the couple of venders I e-mailed kept declining my offers. so I said let me go on line to craftsman and see what I could do.i ended paying $85.00 plus tax. shipping was free and I purchased the best. now I no where to buy all my tools. bporcaro1

I use this as my pick up tool box. It's small enough to take up very little room but holds most tools for simple repairs. I take it everywhere I go. Thinking about getting my wife one for her car.

This is a GREAT set with Metric PLUS SAE; 1/4, 3/8, & 1/2 inch drives. Returned similar old set & this was only set that had 3 drives & metric/SAE like my 105 piece. Good Case but kind of big - really doesn't fit most shelves or underneath my rolling tool chest on tray Pros: >Great # of sockets in 12 & 6 pt. deep & 3 drive sizes >Great selection of wrenches >Lid for top section closes w/ positive lock to cover small tools & hold in place. Would be better if extended across entire top to hold extra tools in upper compartment >Case has extra room for other tools -simple to throw in some other tools and take ONE case on road trips >Tools stay in place in moulded case well Cons: >Has 2 bags of hex wrenches that flop around uselessly & counted as 16+ individual tools- if on a ring / handle it would be MUCH better & could be moulded into case >if it includes SAE/Metric Allen wrenches, please include Star wrenches too >No 1/2 inch drive extension >No marking for top or bottom of the case.

I'm 100 percent satisfied with this tool set. For the price paid, I was expecting the tools to be made/forged in China. I was pleased to see that they were still made/forged in the USA. Snap-On quality they ain't, and for this price point it would be impossible for them to be, but they are good quality tools that fit my needs perfectly.
