OK, so I already have a few of these 154 piece tool sets, but since I was lucky to find this one - "Made In America," - I bought it. Inasmuch as the "Made In America" tool sets are selling at a premium in the aftermarket, I will continue to buy any others I should be lucky enough to find. Of course, the Chinese **** is virtually worthless and cannot compare to the American made Craftman tools. Any "American Made" Craftman tool sets are becoming collector items, so - if you are lucky enough to find a set - snap it up.

bought this for myself to use around the yard so I don't have to keep going back an forth to my tool box and it ended up in my moms Durango and it has been there since a week after I bought it and it was a good thing it was there cause I needed to replace the starter in a parking lot and I will not rent/borrow tools.
I bought this set off of ****** about a year and a half ago and I use it fairly often. I work on my truck with this set almost every chance I get, and I have to sometimes use a lot of force to remove rusty nuts and bolts seeing as I have a '94 Ranger coated with 20 years of frame and underbody rust. Body is in great shape though haha. The tools won't break if you're not careless with them and try to put your whole body weight into an extremely rusty nut or bolt. Use a little bit of WD40 or other penetrating oil to make the jobs a little easier on your tools. I would have to say my only gripe about the ratchets is that they use a 31 teeth gear design instead of a 72 teeth design (I'm not sure of the actual numbers of teeth, I just know they're somewhere in the 30 and 70 range), so it makes it a little more difficult trying to turn your ratchet in tight spaces. Other than that they're still great ratchets. I have not stripped the teeth on them or broken/warped the handle on them. I'm not sure if they're made in the U.S. or China, and I don't really care. All I know is that they have worked great for me so far, and feel very well built. Quality is what I look for in tools, not a country's stamp on it. Worst case scenario a socket or ratchet breaks, I go get a new one at Sears or Ace for free.

I bought this set with the purpose of doing my own work with my car, cause taking it to my mechanic was getting way too expensive. I'm not a pro nor do I want to be one, but nonetheless, this set has truly been awesome and is a really nice starter kit for folks who do occasional mechanics work here and there.
