Product Description

The Craftsman 15 in. Electric Weed Trimmer is the Ideal Lightweight Trimmer for your Shed

Perfect for cleaning up that mid-sized yard or lot, this powerful Craftsman 5.5 Amp Electric Weed Trimmer brings you the high-speed velocity to take-down thick stands of weeds and brush while remaining light enough for hours of comfortable work. Forget about running back the garage for another battery, or trying to get that tired pull-start going, just plug-in your power cord and get trimming! Featuring rapid 8000 rpm rotation, this weed whacker makes short work of even the toughest brush, and drawing its power from the grid so you don't have to haul around heavy batteries or engines that cough out black smoke. Just hook your extension cord into the specially designed cord retainer and get the yard cleaned-up fast.

Adaptive to many tasks, this Craftsman 15 in. Electric Weed Trimmer features 180 degree rotation and a three-position pivoting head that will help you take on tasks like edging sidewalks, clearing garden beds and getting to those tough-to-reach areas that weeds and grass love to grow in. With durable .065 inch cutting line, your trimmer line will last longer, while the 15 inch cutting path takes down wide swaths of weeds and over growth in less time than smaller weed trimmers. And built to give you the perfect fit, the telescoping shaft and adjustable handle let you tailor this weed whacker to what works best for you.

  • Durable, dependable and adaptive, add the Craftsman 5.5 Amp Electric Weed Trimmer to your tool shed this year and get the power you need in a no-nonsense package
  • Powerful 5.5 amp motor
  • .065 dual line 15 in. cutting path trims large areas with ease
  • 3-Position pivoting head tilts to accommodate hard to trim areas
  • Dual bump line feed sends extra line out fast
  • Handle rotates 180 degrees for edging along sidewalks
  • Telescoping Shaft adjust to accommodate the operator's height
  • Backed by a 2 year warranty to protect your investment

Sears 15 inch Trimmer

My old 15 inch Sears trimmer wore out after  10 years of use. Bought this new 15 inch model. It is so much more powerful than my old Sears unit, so much so, that I'd recommend not using it unless wearing full length jeans. I have cuts on my knees & ankles from flying debris.

The manual calls for long pants boots, gloves, safety glasses...don't operate it without them!!!!!

Worst trimmer ever- terrible design
I bought this trimmer last year because it was a Craftsman. I could use it only for a total of about 20 minutes last year and this Spring. It went thru 3 spools in that short of time. The motor is over powered, the cutter is too dull and the line is too thin for the combination of power/design. It dispenses line so fast that it winds itself around the shaft before it can cut the excess line. Sears would do better to stop offering this product. I had to go and buy a replacement after getting 20 minutes and 3 spools out of this poorly designed trimmer.

Great trimmer

I have used this trimmer for my back and front yards, it did the job without any problem and I have refilled the line already and it just kept cutting the grass without problems, I find this trimmers motor very strong and it is easy to use, it does the job very well, I do recommend this product, my back yard alone is 60 ydX30yd.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE!

I only trim about 15ft of grass around my house. The tap and feed feature never work. Too much line being waisted. It's a pain to respool this ****.

Great Product

I have a relatively small yard, but needed to get a new trimmer for this past summer. I was looking at the 4 Amp model, but decided to get this one as it was a little bit bigger with a little more power since I was using it for sidewalk edging as well. It has worked great and I have not had any issues with the product. I haven't had to replace the string yet, but when I do I hope to update my review with how easy or difficult that process turns out.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Terrible product

The spool doesn't stay in place. About two minutes into trimming and the spool will just pop out. If you want to spend two hours on what should be a ten minute job, get this product.
