We purchased this unit to replace a 16 gallon 6.5 hp Craftsman we've had for 10 years and just recently died. This one is a little bit weaker in suction but it is also .5 hp less. For whomever said there is no bag available for this unit, you are mistaken. The dry debris bag is Craftsman part #17895 but the bag from our other craftsman, Part #17893 also works. It just doesn't come with one. They are about $11 for a 3 pack. I think it's a great value and you can't go wrong with Cratftsman reliability.

Not much more to tell-bought my first tools from Sears and am still buying from Sears 50 years later. (by the way-the vacuum I still have is 40 years old and still going strong) This vac was for the wife.

Positives: Has a long cord so no extension cords are generally needed. Runs well; not subject to overturning. Negatives: There were only two nozzle attachments that came with the Vac; if other attachments are needed they can be ordered; seemed kind of chintzy. In hindsight, the unit is way to big for a home/garage application.

i have a sweet gum tree and got tired of raking up the pointed balls. i thought i give this vac. a try because of the two and a half hose and 16 gal. container. boy am i glad i did. works like a champ. easy to clean up with a hose. if you have a sweet gum tree do yourself a favor and give one of these a try. thanks sears....

Works great and sucks like a street corner date. For once , the wheel stance is wide enough to be very stable and rolls over everything with ease. Twice the vac that it replaced and it was a Sears Vac also....although it was 25 years old.
