These are long lasting hammers.

I have used a lot of different hammers during my life but an all steel hammer is hard to break. Several of my wood handled hammers have broken or loosened up. The steel handle weighs more than a hammer with a wood handle so you might think twice if you don't want to weigh down your tool box. Over the years I really prefer the hollow tube 16 ounce hammers because they don't make my hand as tired after swinging them all day. The all steel hammer is heavier and it can pack a punch if you know how to swing it. I have never had had an all steel hammer to break.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best hammer on the market!

I own both the 20 oz claw and 16 oz claw version of this hammer. The 20 oz is good when you need a little more weight, but this hammer has one thing the 20 oz does not. One claw is divided into two mini claws. You can use the mini claws to pry out staples from various things. I recommend having both hammers; The smaller one is good for smaller things (The two mini claws are good for small things) and the larger one is intended for more force and designed to pull out bigger things. You won't find higher quality hammers than Craftsman hammers. And they are still made in the USA!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Love Craftsman

Bought this for my son since he needs tools of his own. The sales associate was helpful and talked me thru my pro and cons. This hammer has a nice weight and an added notch in the claw for smaller nails.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for General Purpose

I've managed to complete a lot of projects with my old generic hammer and all I can say is, WOW...why did I wait so long to finally get a Craftsman hammer. It seems like such a simple thing but I can sense a difference. The main thing is that I don't feel as much impact in my wrist with this hammer. It has a solid, balanced feel. So happy to have this hammer in my toolbox.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman 16 oz. Curved Claw Hammer Item # 00938127000P

Nice weight basic hammer. I am petite and I wanted a hammer that felt balanced and had a shock absorbing material. The main uses will be for craft projects and repairs around the home.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman 16oz. Curved Claw Hammer is Quietly Effective

I found this hammer to be inexpensive and very useful and durable. I am not a carpenter or DIYer so I use it mostly for non traditional purposes. For example, in assembling a kitchen island which required some pounding of pegs and plastic components. This hammer performs all of those kinds of tasks ergonomically and well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excellent Hammer!

I purchsed this hammer a while ago and have been extremely happy with it.  All steel construction, nice balance, and rubber grip make it a really nice hammer.  Seems to be really well made!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best hammer ever

The hammer is by far the best that I have used.  This hammer is balanced and has always made direct contact with the nail each time it is used.  The hammer is made such that it does not feel like it is to heavy in the handle or at the head.  I thought that with it having a metal handle I would feel the vibrations each time I used it.   However, I can say I do not feel the vibrations as I use it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
