What more can you say, it hammers well and feels good and balanced in my hand.
I do a bit of rough carpentry, nothing serious, but somehow have accumulated a small army of hammers. This is a nicely proportioned hammer for driving in smaller nails and brads, and it feels really balanced in my hand.

I bought this hammer 35 years ago and it's still one of my favorites. The grip is a little worn and the handle has a few chips, but it's a great tool.

I prefer this product over the curved claw or wooden handled hammer. It seems like less work to pull nails and staples out. Rubber grip is very handy, especially if your hands get sweaty while working. I have never had a problem with any of my Craftsman tools

i have broken 2 of these hammers, but the positive thing is that you can take them back for a replacement. took about a week to break the first one and a month on the second.

This Craftsman hammer is a perfect edition to any shop or toolbox. The 16oz weight is just right, not too light and not too heavy; and yet strong enough to deliver a swing to get the job done. The fiberglass handle provides strength and it's red color makes it easy to spot anywhere. The head is strong steel and quite large, giving you the weight you need and a claw that is plenty large to pry at almost anything. I recommend this hammer to anyone in search of a hammer, especially if you don't like wooden handles.

I was looking to replace a Hammer I had lost in a Tornado clean up project at my brothers house in April. I knew that I would at all costs, only buy a hammer made in America, after all, the job you save may be your own. I have been a long time craftsman tool lover, but was disappointed when I first went to sears to find the first several hammers I looked at, were made in China, as is most of this world now days. I have had bad experiences with Items I had purchased in the past that are made in China, so I vow to not support companies that contribute to America's unemployment. Sears realy shined in this area today, they offered several QUALITY tools made in America, so I quickly snatched this one up, and wil continue to be a BIG fan of Craftsman tools, so long as they are made in this country.

This is a very nice hammer. Well balanced, just the right weight for most household uses. (I am a professional aircraft mechanic and we have very little need for framing hammers such as this so my experience is all in home uses). The fiberglass handle has the right amount of flex to absorb vibration while applying most of the force to the nail. Please note that this is a framing style hammer, it does not have the deeply curved claw seen on most household hammers. This means you have reduced leverage for extracting stubborn nails, the straighter claw is designed to allow ripping boards. That is seldom a problem however, I have never met a nail that it could not pull out. "Sacramento" Bruce Conklin

If you have read many of my reviews, you know that I keep a separate set of tools in a Craftsman Soft Sided Tool Bag under the kitchen sink. This is very handy to have for when those pesky little repairs or assemblies pop-up. I maintain a fully equipped wood-working shop in the garage and it is well stocked with high end tools (mostly Craftsman Professionals). For my house-hold repair bag, however I don't always have top-of-line stuff, but you can rest assured they are still Craftsman. I really like the fiberglass handle and rubber grip on this hammer. It has good balance and I don't notice much vibration when striking a surface. The grip allows me to use the hammer safely even with sweaty palms. Remember quality work requires quality tools!

A hammer is a hammer is a hammer - NOT! This is an upgrade over your ordinary hammers. Nice fiberglass handle with a rubber hand grip on end. Feels good to hold, but not too heavy to hold. Lifetime warranty.

I have had this hammer for years and prefer it over the rest of my hammers. It is my first choice when opening the hammer drware in my toolbox. It has held up well over the years with no issues, Very comfortable to use, well balanced.
