Excellent Mower,Bags Well, Start on First Pull Every time.
Great Mower the 160cc tears through my 12,000 square foot yard with no problem. So I thought about that $700 Honda and after reading the reviews and touching it in store I felt it was way to much money for the performance. I found this online at $269.00 cant really go wrong at that price. Reading prior reviews most are correct the Mower has a couple of shortcoming, Yes the bag could be bigger and yes if you run over a dirt spot the dust comes though. I live in the Northwest and we have wet heavy grass often, so the design of the bag allows airflow to catch all the grass. It does pick up all clippings, it comes on and off with ease. I would rate it a 5 star. The 160CC Honda mower has more than enough power and it is about 40% quieter than older mowers. It has more of Hum to it vs the Rrrrgghhhh of older mowers. Amble height settings, they move from notch to notch with little effort. I've read some complaints on the handle bars, I love them. It lets keep the mower moving and I can spin int 180 either direction with ease. There an old design of years back but I love em compared what I"ve tried on the newer designed throttles and what not. I have medium size hands, I 'm 52 Yrs old and have not experienced any of the complaints that others have written about. This Lawnmower has exceed my expectations in all areas, it's a great mower that does an excellent job of mowing. I would reocmend this Mower to friends & family as a good mower at a good value.

4 months old...in for service a 2nd time
The first 3 months and 2 weeks were great .... good feeling mower, able to handle my medium-ish urban yard well. I have a hill in the front that has to be almost a 60 degree incline (about 40 ft of frontage), so power assist has been key. Then about a month ago, the mower died in the middle of a mow. Still had gas in the tank, nothing unusual, just died. Cue the Sears service team ... took the mower to my local Sears and 10 days later, had it back with a new carburetor. Pulled the cord to start, mowed for about 2 minutes (engine running unevenly the whole time), then the mower died again. Just dropped the mower off - again - at Sears for service. This time, they put a $40 charge on my card for a repair under warranty. Not sure what that was all about, but there's not much choice since they have to do the repair. I bought the mower because it was a Craftsman with a Honda engine, but the reliability has been unacceptable. You may be better advised to look elsewhere.

Hard on the hands

The way this mower is designed with the two levers at the top makes it hard to keep both sqeezed at the same time without having amazing hand strength. I have slight nerve problems with my hands and it hits all my pressure points. I wish i could take it back. Its very uncomfortable for me so if you have any problems with your hands or don't have strong hands buy another mower.

Love this lawnmower!

I bought this lawnmower so I could save money on my lawn service. I've never used one before, so I was a little hesitant. But this lawnmower was easy to assemble and really easy to use.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
great mower

one pull fires right up, first lawn mower I have owned that is easy to change the oil because where you ad the oil the tube is at a 45 degree angle and all you have to do is tip it on its side, mulches even thick grass so fine that there aren't any clumps (as long as grass is dry) would recommend this mower

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsmen Rotary Mower

Bought this unit as my first self propelled mower. Followed unpacking and pre-start instructions as required. Went really smooth.. Mower started on first pull of rope. Very Impressive ! Then came first use.. Mower started first pull. Front wheel drive operated smoothly. Stopped when finished front yard. Then proceeded to backyard. Didn't start as easy. Took several tries and engine seemed to be sputtering or choking out. It finally started and smoothed out and finished job. Overall Only have two issues with satisfaction. 1. Rear wheel height adjustments hard to change. Levers too short. 2. The cutting is not 100%. Leaves individual sprigs of grass sticking up uncut. Had to mom second time to get smooth cut. This was with out bag using mulching process. Not sure if caused from dull blade, low RPM's not creating enough vacuum to raise grass. Will attempt use of bag to see if any improvement before I decide whether to keep or return..

Does good job

Easy to start only if you use a fuel stabilizer in the gas. The carberator is susceptible to clogging due to moisture from ethanol enhanced gas. With that said, it will start 1st time every pull. Hose attachment for cleaning is good feature. Overall satisfied.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
